SWIM used vortex technique on 1kg and got 5 grams. SWIM now is going to try an extraction of 3kg (split among 6 people, not selling btw.) but vortex is lacking in info on the basification. how much water and NaOH should SWIM use for 3kg?

Um SWIM isn't an expert but he advises as little water as possible. ron69 had an interesting post about that somewhere.
