i got my dmt from acacia confusia root bark powder, i have learned that there is alot of nmt in the mix, if i were to convert the dmt to a salt would that seperate the dmt from nmt?

I would also appreciate info on this matter.
Swim has been working with acacia Confusa root bark powder, and is struggling to achieve more than a crystalline paste/goo varying in colour from dark yellow to clear/white depending if re x was preformed, but always paste.
Swim has read a few different potential reasons at different places across the net. One saying there were a lot more fats in acrb than Mhrb so when using a stb tek they will travel with the dmt into the Nonpolar solvent. So Swim did an a/b extraction on the dmt saturated solvent(Naphtha), pulling with acidic water 3 times, rising the pH of the water to 12.5 then pulling again 3 times with clean solvent. After evaporation no real crystal only goo but definitely looking a lot nicer . Also Swim has read something about acrb
Containing a mix of dmt and nmt. The nmt causing Swims goo.
Some words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated

Davies.

both alkaloids can be salted, so it would not separate them.

but this method would.

but there is nothing wrong with NMT, it is just DMT with one less methyl- chain (monomethyl instead of dimethyl), so its fine to leave it in your product if you want.

personal preference, really.

and as for you, davies

Thanks for the link Parshvik Chintan.
Don't get me wrong swim appreciates the goo, but Swim is new to the game and would be ever so greatful to see some nice crystals.
Apparently Swim just got their hands of 50g mhrb so can try experiment with that and hopefully get a small amount of what their looking for.
Goo seems hard to work with, sticky, never seems to dry.
So this extra nmt is fact, and going to result in goo every time when working with acrb without the mentioned approach??

All the evidence I have seen points to NMT and plant fats/ oils being the culprit, but I have yet to see any factual evidence (i.e. GC/MS analysis of acacia goo). But, I have personally gotten more fluffy, white crystals from acacia confusa root bark than I have goo. I am working on figuring out what variables caused the different results (crystals v. goo), as both were from the same batch of bark, using (mostly) the same extraction techniques.
