Makes me wonder what assumed safe pharmaceuticals we take for granted now, that people will laugh and be shocked at in 80-100 years. Nothing is new under the sun. Edit: Not that the cannabis ones are bad or anything. At least it appears that cannabis is coming back after an unreasonably long hiatus! Another thing occurred to me, also. These drugs seem shocking to some with how they were legal and available, but really are not much more harmful than common modern pharmaceuticals. Be an adult only when necessary.

I don't know, but I'll take an ounce of that smack, if they've got one left for $4.85.
The soothing syrup looks pretty tasty as well.

"Allenburys" throat pastilles look tasty. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a bit of Paregoric when I'm feeling colicky. Oh for the joys and pleasures of simpler times gone by. Images of broken light, Which dance before me like a million eyes, They call me on and on...
