Hello everyone, I have been experimenting with DMT for a few weeks now, after learning everything I could about it for a few years. I see now there is still so much more to learn. My outlook on life has changed for the better and I wish to share this experience with some close friends who have a pretty good understanding of what DMT is. We have done shrooms together in the past, and a few of them have experienced LSD before (Not I). And I recently invited them to come over and try DMT for themselves. Including my self there will be 5 of us partaking and 2 other friends who will be abstaining, but they will be welcome to join in if they change there mind. I wanted to ask you all here for any advice over how I should care for the set and setting for the group, for example; dim lighting, mellow incense, TV off as it has a loud humming fan, music or no music, and I have a sweet somber Buddha head set over a large Mayan chest set on my coffee table that I believe will add a nice touch. I was thinking I would ask that they each bring some form of food i.e. bread, juice, canned food (no alcohol as I feel alcohol is a more expensive commodity) in exchange for the experience. I also plan to use The Machine as our method of travel. And I was thinking of going last so as to help guide each of them through however many hits they wish to take between 1-3. Explaining to them it's their choice how much to take in, in case they want to breakthrough or stop just short of the threshold so that they can feel a sense of control. And basically let the Magic carpet ride do the rest. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to make this a great experience full of love and care for all of us. And I would Love to read your stories. See you later Space Cowboy...

Im still kinda new to dmt aswell, but in my experiences food was among the least of my concerns.
I would instead tell each to bring something that is cool and can be enjoyed by all, ex. special lighting, soft or trippy comfortable things, special music, radio whatever they decide so theres a bunch of surprising things that can add to the overall experience, also you guys dose on mushrooms first theres an amazing synergy between the 2 compounds.

That's a great idea having them bring stuff like that, I know one friend would probably share vitamin C with everyone as that's what he did when we did shrooms. I'll keep that in mind, Probably have them try the DMT alone first, and if we have the mushrooms then give it a second go mixing both. See you later Space Cowboy...

What doses are you planning on giving everyone? Breakthrough amounts? Either way, thats a lot of people, and in my opinion, way too many to be around if people are going to be having breakthroughs. Everyone is different, but in my experiences having more than one person in the room when you get back from a breakthrough can be a little overwhelming, especially if its your first time.

Mugan, It's great that you want to put so much care into the first experience of others. I was not clear by your post if you had read the FAQ on settings, as it addresses your questions directly. What is the best setting/context to consume spice? If you have read it, and have specific questions or want some elaboration, that would be great. You might also consider running a search for threads with 'Setting' in the title. There are a few threads that provide reports on the type of event you are planning, and are well worth a look. My 2c-- I agree with emptymind that introducing five friends to spice in one eveining is a tall order; two or three at a time might be a better way to go about it. Put yourself in the shoes of one of the friends getting ready to take their turn. Waiting until 4 other people have had an experience can be stressful, and if one person has less than an ideal time, it will make things real uncomfortable for everyone. I would consider first introducing spice to the friends having experienc with LSD. It will give you a better idea of what will make the experience great for those completely new to altered states.

I agree with emptymind and nitegazer that this may be a few too many people. Reintegrating back into this reality after a break-through can be very mentally demanding, and each person you know has there own set of emotional and symbolic associations; coming back with 5 sets of social associations to integrate at the same time might become a little overwhelming for someone who has never had the reintegration experience before. I have had it numerous times and there are still moments of discomfort when I return to room of even 1 or 2 people, even when they are extremely close friends of mine. I've found that it's easier to fully integrate back into your own personal identity and be settled with that before you reapproach a social environment
Nitegazer gives good advice when he says to maybe share the experience with just one of your friends at a time. There's the obvious problem of navigating the social dilemma that might come with having to pick one friend over another, but they'll all likely understand in the end.

I'm glad I ran this plan through here first. My concern was to try and make the experience as comfortable as possible and after reading all the great responses I can see how tough this can really be. Too much room for failure, and trying hard to be in control of an experience that is in reality only controlled by the spice itself can ruin it all together. I'll just go with the great advice you all have given me and let each of them try it one at a time, so it will be just them and the spice. Thanks for the helpful responses , I'm glad I didn't just jump into this. And no more bumps See you later Space Cowboy...

If I may offer some advice.. Offer each person who wishes to partake at least 2 doses in the night if requested. If vaping, make the first dose no more than 20mg and make the second no more than 35mg. Even this can be considered high. Dose one person at a time. Explain to each person that while any one of them is journeying silence will be paramount. This is not a time for having parties. Ask them to turn off their phones etc also. Explain that if anyone needs to talk, smoke etc to do so in between sittings. If you don't wish to wait between sittings while each person talks (if they want/choose to) after their experience then it might be wise to have a secondary room, out of earshot (important), where those who come back can head off to talk to others. Ask each person in advance of everything to consider 1 or 2 general intentions for what they would like to achieve or experience. Joviality is always a good thing but be sure people are both mindful of what they are about to do, respectful of the opportunity and capable in mind (free from irrational fear, apprehension is not irrational). If you feel someone is not going to be able to adhere to some considered levels of behaviour during this time period then ask them not to come. If you think someone might not be suited or have any pressing doubt then let that person wait and if still in doubt then by all means refuse to dose. Do not give to anyone heavily intoxicated on any other substance (including and especially alcohol). Some aspects of my own mindset when considering others.. May seem 'snootish' but I respect the spice and don't like damaging people.

Thank you, this helps allot, I was contemplating different ways I could communicate this to my friends. I'll definitely be referring to this post to guide them each through the experience checking off that I have covered the areas you mentioned, I do agree that 20mg should be way more than enough as The Machine already carries resin from past runs. I usually charge 50mg and hit it continuously till I've had enough, and I don't expect them to take on such a rush. I was thinking visiting them at there own homes will give them control over there environment so I can suggest to them, as you stated; that they be in there bedroom peacefully while I wait outside away from earshot with any other friends who may be there at the time. Thank You for the solid advice ZenSpice, and good luck to you in your travels. See you later Space Cowboy...

Thank You for the solid advice ZenSpice, and good luck to you in your travels. Most welcome on the advice and thanks for the well wishes, I hope my thoughts serves well in some way The idea you have of doing it in their own respective homes is best of all imho. It ensures you can give full attention to each person and they can be afforded the maximum potential for feeling relaxed. A couple of other things as small humble suggestions.. Silence really is golden (minimise all external sounds for them if possible), being in the same room but out of visual sight is often all that's needed should someone need a quick "You Ok?" Also, I would perhaps clean the machine out to ensure they are getting a more accurate dose (and not accumulated old spice as you mentioned). Alternate aspect, if its your thing, I'd say its about Karma and cleansing of energies. Better to let each person hold a clean machine and use up a little more charging material (coarse wire scrub I'm guessing if anyhting like myself hehe) than have all that energy casually passing from person to person (as I say. if that's your thing)

ZenSpice wrote:I hope my thoughts serves well in some way They have and do I have not put much thought into cleaning it, But its a great Idea. since I enjoy the "mileage" my Machine has received, I will more likely build another for "guests" fresh and clean since it is so easy to do. Thank you again for all the great incite ZenSpice, and take care See you later Space Cowboy...

Ahhh yes the mileage factor.. Watching those circular formations slowly evolve and merge on the glass insides of ones machine really is interesting in its own little way A second machine might be a good idea. I do clean mine out every now and again, sometimes hesitantly (love those circles lol) but I'm a sucker for karma, energies and all that jazz Peace be yours and respect due

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...;t=44466&find=unreadI am not sure if this will help, but I put it up a little while ago while I was still a new memebr. Remember that everybody has their own reactions and nobody is exactly the same. Relaxed settings are by far the best to start with, but everybody has a different idea of what is relaxing. It is a fairly high amount of people and it is not a party substance, it is best that everybody is incredibly comfortable with their fellow sitters and participants. Thanks MusicTurtle, that was helpfull and I enjoyed reading your post. My friends are excited to try it, and they were already familiar with it from what they've seen in there own research. We're gonna wait till the short summer break we have coming up so we're not dealing with stress from our classes. After reading everyone incite I cancelled the get-together and told them I will only treat them to it one at a time, whenever they're ready for it after a good day. They still can't wait to give it a go. See you later Space Cowboy...
