So i heard from a close friend they have dmt i a university research hospital in my country.
Lets say this friend is right and he probably is.

Why do they have it in a University Research Hospital when its illegal and what is the purpose?

Why do they keep it secret from public?Because they dont know what is it and are scared?Confused

All opinions is interesting to hear!

As a rule, we try and avoid conspiracy theory topics here on The Nexus, and while this isn't one, it does stray (imho) close to that zone.

I would say that your friend is either a) misinformed or b) pulling your leg. I can't imagine university hospitals would have a whole lot of use for DMT. MAYBE they're doing some studies, there have been a bunch done on psilocybin/psilocin recently, but if they are, they're keeping it remarkably quiet.

I doubt there's a whole lot too this, unfortunately. It would be nice if people were scientifically exploring this molecule, but this seems to me to be like more of an urban legend then anything else.

MDMA is legally controlled in most of the world under the UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances and other international agreements, although exceptions exist for research and limited medical use. In general, the unlicensed use, sale or manufacture of MDMA are all criminal offenses.

Yet, there are ongoing trials in the USA and Israel. Trials have been concluded in Spain and Switzerland.

Examples of other drugs that are, or have been, used for medical studies: LSD, psilocybin, ibogaine, and DMT (rick strassman), etc.

I do not think there are any current clinical trials with DMT, but having a standard for analytic purposes at university seems reasonable. They surely have access to chemical houses.

Generally these kinds of studies are publicly known. Specific exceptions to the law are permitted in order for these studies to take place, and as a rule these exceptions are not given lightly.

I too find the idea of secret DMT trials happening in a university hospital to border on the implausible. But it's possible you could do a comprehensive search for any subjects related to DMT and that particular university, and possibly find some mention of upcoming trials or experiments. Generally there is a certain amount of transparency when it comes to university studies.

If you do find anything concrete, we'd be very curious to hear more.

MAPS's website has a current and very thorough listing of all psychedelic research done worldwide, including recent trials with MDMA, psilocybin, ibogaine, and I believe there is a study in the planning stages now using aya, in S. America, I believe. (sorry, didn't log in to the site before posting this, don't think details are necc, go look if you want correct info.)
There may be some chemical research being done without using human test subjects, being in the metabolic path to 5-ht, there may be some non-clinical stuff happening.

I seriously doubt there is anything conspiratorial going on. Thinking that everything is conspiracy confounds real issues, blinding one to the bills going through our congress, CISPA and other rights destroying legislation, let alone the 'liberal' war Obummer is about to send us into.Thumbs down
