This piece was inspired by a very profound experience I had while "under the influence" staring at my reflection in the mirror.

Looks like a very interesting place you visited there with your reflection...

That is pretty cool! I really dig the frog. You have frogs in your bathroom?

Do you look in the mirror much while tripping? I've been meaning to do a drawing of myself in a mirror while tripping. I hope I can capture myself the way I appear while tripping. It's a habit, I have to look at myself at least once during a trip, usually more. It's so bizarre, but I love it! I usually look so damn crazy.Laughing

Thanks for the kind words, all. I do tend to look at myself in the mirror while tripping, but mostly have only done it since the experience that inspired this drawing.

The revelation I had during the experience (as I watched my humanly form disintegrate into nothingness) was the driving force of water in life. This is why the faucet is dripping water onto the face bringing the color to life and flowing through it to the drain at the bottom representing the impermanence of all things we know in existence.

I promise I am not so vane that I have to be looking in the mirror constantly, but while under the influence there are always things that tempt me to repeat certain behaviors in an attempt to bring back unique experiences I had in previous trips.

BTW - I do NOT have frogs in my bathroom, but in a lot of trips I've had (not limited to DMT) I have had visions of frogs both in front of and behind my eyelids Pleased

i don't think anyone on psychedelics is entranced by a mirror out of vanity (more a curious fascination of sorts)... many a time i have gazed into mirrors (sometimes for hours) on these substances.

you might find scrying mirrors to be of interest.

Wow, this is very neat. Going to have to try to fashion one of these for my next "excursion" Laughing

On oral DMT in particular, I tend to get pretty narcissistically wrapped up in my reflection from time to time. It's probably the times when I look most beautiful to myself.
