Greetings Nexians . Very difficult to locate reliable data for Phragmites Australis alkaloid content . I have tried 2 extractions : [ winter ; Victoria , Australia ; brackish water environment . Fresh and dried rizome . STB method ] ... both experiments found negligible alkaloid content ... I am wondering if anybody has achieved positive , or worthwhile results with this species ?

be very careful not to let Red Canary Reed Grass get out into the Environment.. it is EXTREMELY INVASIVE.! you could create a heck of a lot of bad Karma.
