Why are acetates usually soluble in acetone, DCM, and MEK?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

DMT acetate is known to be soluble in DCM, and I believe it’s also soluble in acetone and MEK.

Mescaline acetate is soluble in acetone, and probably also soluble MEK and DCM but I’m not sure.

What about acetates makes them soluble in these solvents when most other salt forms are either insoluble or just slightly soluble in them?

acetates are structurally similar to ketones such as acetone (like dissolves like)

electrostatic (nucleophilic) interactions between partially-negative carbonyl oxygens and partially positive carbonyl carbons. same with the partially negative chlorines in dcm
