So I've been working crazy hours lately and completely forgot about the bark I had sitting In a cupboard. I had done about 8 pulls and was still getting DMT from it. I had planned on doing two more pulls just to see but got on this crazy shift and forgot I had it. I had read at some point someone talking about the bark starting to mold after awhile. Now I don't see any mold but that doesn't mean it isn't there. So I ask, is it safe to try a couple more pulls or should I toss it? Afaik, mold's not going to appear in an environment with a pH of 12+ Wiki • Attitude • FAQThe Nexian • Nexus Research • The OHTIn New York, we wrote the legal number on our arms in marker...To call a lawyer if we were arrested. Awesome. The bark smells fairly strong of DMT. And surprisingly I got .250 grams total for the last two pulls. I was hoping there would be no problem with going ahead with more pulls. So I guess it's a go. "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]

The pulls were not as clean but with a simple wash everything was just fine. Should be okay for you. "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

Well I will report back with some results as I plan on doing the pulls soon. "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]

I have a question if you do not mind... I'm sure by now your bark has dried out even if covered, no? When you go to pull, do you add more water, base+water, or just let the solvent absorb until it's saturated enough to pour off again? I imagine just attempting solvent will result in massive loss of solvent, so my main question is can you get it back to the proper consistency with just water or must you base the water to avoid dropping the PH? Hope you don't mind this question here He who knows nothing retains the capacity to know everything

At first glance It's still moist enough tht I won't be adding any water. Which im not sure why its still as moist as it is but I will stir it up tonight to get a better idea. Though I didnt smell any naphtha if i recall correctly. I will have solvent loss but so far in my experience it hasn't been much, even when the bark has dried out slightly. Either way I have a coffee press, so if I wanted I can easily get most of the solvent back that way. I would rather add naphtha to moisten the bark than water. Adding too much water becomes a pain, lime doesn't absorb much water and dehydrating the bark takes forever. To my knowledge adding just water would be fine and if I did effect PH it wouldn't be enough to worry about. I could be wrong but I haven't noticed a loss of yield from doing this. Adding a little water helps the solvent poor more easily, if you add solvent to dry bark the bark particles will not be heavy enough to stay in the vessel and will come right out with the solvent. If you do this you can easily decant without having to filter, but even if you choose to filter you avoid the bark behaving difficulty. Toadfreak!

I never thought of it that way thanks for that. Luckily the vessel that I pour out of has a strainer lid with fairly small holes that allows me to tilt all the way. Getting quite a bit of solvent without allowing any bark to fall into the filter. "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]
