Full moon cactus ride - any tips? Options

Howdy all!

So, I've now tried cactus 2 times at lower dosages. I was able to converse, walk around, be fairly "with it" in the waking world. Both times were very beautiful and rewarding. The visuals were very mild and I think my smile muscles got the best workout they've ever had. Carl Sagan made me cry with both sadness and joy (A whole other story).

I feel I'm ready to step further into the experience by taking a larger dose. My plan is to drop tomorrow evening during the full moon while I have the peace and quiet of the night to make use of. I have playlists built and ready to go. Non-plot-oriented video ready to go. Fruits, juices, very healthy sustenance - should I need. I have my whole hu-man-cave ready for this.

Here's my question… anything else you fellow cacti lovers recommend to have around that might be very groovy or useful or helpful?

I know what I like with other magic carpet rides, but having not gone real deep on the cactus, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask the experienced.

If it's of any consequence, I've prepared my cactus per the 69ron d-limo tek and have a nice little pile of brown impure waxy acetate - tested and definitely very groovy.

Have a happy Full Moon and lovely new year my hyper-space-traveling friends Smile

Thanks for your help.

Love & Blessings,

PT

Also fast as long as you can stand. No food for 12-24 hours. No water within a couple hours of ingestion. Lie down and spit out your saliva, don't swallow it. I like to take a bite of ginger and chew it between shots of tea. I also smoke lots of cannabis to help keep me from immediately wretching.

Thanks for the suggestions - I truly appreciate them.

I've not had any stomach issues to speak of... just the butterflies as the trip is coming up. Do you ingest the whole cactus or an extract? Do higher doses bring more stomach issues for some?

fasting for me makes the most horrid expereince possible, complete with basically blacking out at some point if I dont eat some sweet fruit..just saying..and I dont really have blood sugar problems normally at this point in my life, only if I try to fast and then trip. I know someone else who fasted for a day then tried to dose LSA, passed out and hit their head and ended up in the hosptial. It seems weird to me that some people can do that, but I would not suggest to others to do that just because you do or w/e. I just eat fruit in the morning and then dose.

I would not ingest whole cacti..make tea or resin. Eating whole flesh always gives me real bad cramps a couple hours in.

Long live the unwoke.

Yes, my fasting isn't a 2 day affair - I fast to make sure all matter has gotten past my stomach. And if there's one thing I've learned from my first two experiences it's that I'll be keeping up the fluids and eating fruit. The first two times I wound up with horrible dehydration headaches.

Like I mentioned... I've extracted the goodies from the cactus using 69ron's tek and the waxy, impure acetate is lovely.

less than 700 mg acetate video is optional, above 700 (deep trip) avoid screens of any nature
for less than 700 mg you could keep music on the entire time, if you want to go deeper/ take more than 700 id use music for the come up and come down but spend the peak in silence/nature sounds (i use earplugs)
fasting is less crucial with extract but still drastically effects the experience, i advise hypoglycemia but excessive prehydration ( i drink a gallon of water all day up to 2 hours prior to dosing, and avoid liquids for a good few hours into the experience)

cannabis takes it to a whole new level and i highly suggest not smoking prior to ingestion (fast includes no psychoactives, caffeine included) id only suggest smoking about 5 hours into it to avoid being overwhelmed. id also only smoke when the experience no longer seems to deepen (ie youve plateued) and youre ready for it to get a bit more psychedelic, because it no longer is a just cactus feeling it has the cannabis "uh wtf" sensation too.

that being said once you start smoking you can pretty much chief your way till passing out (after the initial up and down from the first smoke)

id also take a small toke if you decide to and wait 20-30 minutes for effects to settle

peace and light!

the exclusive use of dmt in this cats story is when he is well into his cactus experience, he at no other point has any desire to plunge with spice. he appreciates the gentle launch, its surprisingly less dramatic going from cactus world to hybrid hyperspace

Sometimes having a pad and pen to jot down ideas and insights can be helpful. Extra blankets are good too in case you find the larger dose makes you very cold.

Good travels to you!

Right on! I'm building my "mesca-nest" and keeping all this great info in mind.

I doubt I'll go the 700mg route - I was thinking more like 400-500mg. Hopefully, with the acetate, that will be a good step up with some depth before I dive super deep like 700mg+sounds.

the only thing ive been able to watch on mesc was alice in wonderland and at 700mg hcl i saw that movie as my life, the book of genesis, the book of revelation, allegories to themes in my mind. it still astounds me and i feel that the movie is a masterful work of art because of how i saw it. id seen it twice before and liked it but never LOVED it like i did after that day.

i also read the egg coming up before the movie and tried explaining the meaning of life to my depressed father with that article

i watched the movie to come up to and other than that 1 experience have never been able to watch anything on a screen while more than slightly tripping

ive attatched the egg story for your enjoyment

The Egg
By: Andy Weir

You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And that’s when you met me.
“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”
“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”
“Yup,” I said.
“I… I died?”
“Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?”
“More or less,” I said.
“Are you god?” You asked.
“Yup,” I replied. “I’m God.”
“My kids… my wife,” you said.
“What about them?”
“Will they be all right?”
“That’s what I like to see,” I said. “You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff right there.”
You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.
“Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.”
“Oh,” you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?”
“Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.”
“Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,”
“All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me.”
You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?”
“Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.”
“So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.”
“Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.”
I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had.
“You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything. But there’s no point to doing that between each life.”
“How many times have I been reincarnated, then?”
“Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.”
“Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?”
“Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.”
“Where you come from?” You said.
“Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.”
“Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.”
“Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.”
“So what’s the point of it all?”
“Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?”
“Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted.
I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”
“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?”
“No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”
“Just me? What about everyone else?”
“There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.”
You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”
“All you. Different incarnations of you.”
“Wait. I’m everyone!?”
“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
“I’m every human being who ever lived?”
“Or who will ever live, yes.”
“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”
“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.
“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.
“And you’re the millions he killed.”
“I’m Jesus?”
“And you’re everyone who followed him.”
You fell silent.
“Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”
You thought for a long time.
“Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?”
“Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.”
“Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?”
“No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.”
“So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…”
“An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.”
And I sent you on your way.

Thank you... all

I'm very keen for this evening to go down and I'll be taking bits of you with me.

So as the full moon rises in my snow covered little glen, I'll be setting off for new realms. Wish me well. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, my journey was aborted/postponed.

As I sat making preparations beforehand - I was struck by a strong feeling that the time was not right. Not your average trepidation at going deep - just plain old intuition spouting off. I REALLY wanted to go, but I listened to the feeling and did not.

Lucky for me because I was struck at about 2:45 am by a migraine with full on cold sweats, fever-like symptoms, vomiting and a pain in the gulliver that literally made me want to cut it off. It lasted about 3 hours and was gone. Fine the next day... just weird.

So I'd like to thank Mescalito for the warning and I'd like to thank the cosmos for intuition.

I'm re-planning for 2 weeks from now. Thought I'd let you all know how it went (or didn't - haha)

Thanks again for the advice and love.

I always feel it's better to abort a trip rather than tripping when the time isn't right. I guess the exception would be the regular pre launch jitters.

an excerpt from a ross heaven interview...

Quote:
His training was very hard. He was not like my first shamanic teachers, who were much gentler. He made me drink San Pedro twice a week for several years. Sometimes I would beg him not to have to drink it! I'd sob and say I was too sick to drink, because I just couldn't face another session. But he would say, "Good! You're sick! That - and the fact that you can't face the healing you need - is exactly why you need to drink it! Get your coat and let's go!"

9/10 times i follow this prescription, the 1 out of 10 is just not the right time
