I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how this works. Are you supposed to heat the steel wool (after removing coating), then sprinkle desired dose on it, then it melts in? correct?

After that, does the side with the melted spice actually go INSIDE of the device, or hang upside down, out of the mouthpiece? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose? lmao. Just asking because I am hearing different answers. surprisingly

Very confused. I would greatly appreciate it if you all could clear this up for me.

This is exactly what I have -

you put the spice on top of the steel wool and gently heat the neck of the bottle. When the spice starts melting, you stop and watch it disappearing in the wool. Normaly it doesn't drip out during this, but it can drip, when you actually vape. So be careful and keep the lid

Ahhh now that makes sense, it actually melts into the steel wool. So, to vape, you just flip it over and hold the lighter at a distance from the steel wool?

jep.. exactly and after some time, when you have nice, cristalline residue in the pipe you melt it back in the steel wool..

sure it's a nice gesture to point someone in the right direction. I can imagine that hearing the same questions again and again can be frustrating after some time. But can't you imagine that there are still people who like the personal interaction with people figuring something out even if there's a huge pile of information already present here?

Well, horizontal/vertical work both. In my experience when there's a normal dose in there vertical works good and if there's too much in the steel wool it drips out imediately after the toke. Horizontal lets it run down/concentrate at the sidewalls and turning while taking the toke is something I didn't master jet. Oh and vertical defined as the wool pointing down obviously.
