So i have a pretty distinct pattern that i follow every time before blast off and wanted to share it, and also see what others do to prepare for the trip.

even though its a pretty short trip i feel like i need to be in the right state of mind, and very comfortable so this is what i do..

1. start burning an inscent and turn on whatever music makes me happy or pumped up, usually some sort of metal, or rock. seems like this gets the jitters out. i also get the bowl ready to go. if i feel extremely anxious which most times i do all day, every day, i take 1mg of xanax at this point.

2. once the inscent is half burned, i change the music to something more relaxing, some tunes that i use for meditation usually, something slow and turn the volume down. i also turn most of the lights off, except for a dim light. this helps begin to calm me down. i also have to step away from the computer.

3. i change my cloths, usually throw on some comfortable shorts clean shirt, crank up the heat(if its cold) and i ALWAYS change my socks. the feeling of a fresh pair of socks makes me feel pretty comfortable for some reason. im usually a pretty anxious person and sweaty/clammy feeling, so it helps a ton.

4. start burning another inscent, since the first one is most of the way burned by now, and it helps mask the lingering smell of dmt, which i dont like to smell during or after the trip.

5. then i turn on a playlist of music with a song to help with meditation, and after that a couple songs that i want to blast off with on in the background.

6. i lay down on my couch and start a simple breathing technique (in through the nose out through the nose, in through the nose out through the mouth, in through the mouth out through the mouth, in through the mouth out through the nose etc..) i let my body completely relax as if im going to meditate or go to sleep. once i hear the end of the meditation track, i grab my bowl that is already prepared within arms reach.

7. blast off

does anyone else do the same type of thing, making it a ritual that you do every time? please list the steps you take to prepare Big grin
