I've been reading around on here about the threads for the volcano vaporizer, and they seem to be split 50/50 with some saying that the DMT will recrystillize on the bags, and others saying that it is the best for vaporizing DMT.

Basically, I want to know what is the most efficient way to vaporize and inhale high doses of DMT in one hit? Price is not an issue.

I don't own a volcano, so this is just speculation. But I do know a little about them. I think it makes sense that a tiny bit would stay stuck to the inside of the bag, but it would be such a minuscule amount that it should make no practical difference. Plus, after using it many many times you should be able to pour in some alcohol and recollect that tiny bit if you want to.

The newest model of volcano (can't remember the name right now) has a digital control that goes down much lower than most vapes, which should be perfect for DMT. THC vaporizes at 400 something so most vapes are built to run too hot for DMT (IMO). Nobody seems to know the exact optimum range (or if they do they haven't wanted to share the info when I've asked), but a digi vape that goes down to 150 or so would be the perfect thing to dial it in exactly. I'd have one myself except for me price IS an issue!

I would avoid it as the bags have a HUGE surface area.

If you've ever used a "machine" pipe for smoking various vaporisable goods, you might have noticed there would be a large dose of residue on the steel wool. Even if a person had loaded a single hit onto very clean steel wool and blasted the whole thing, you could wait a few days or months and take a hit from that again and it would be very potent.

Now how about that effect occuring across a huge surface area?


OFC you could do the alcohol method as recommended above. It's not a significant reason to avoid using the volcano but the loss would definitely be pretty sizeable if you did not take a hit immediately as it vaporised.

The Sherlock Glass Vapor Genie is as efficient as one would ever need for DMT crsytals, and one could clear around 50mg in one inhalation if you wanted, without undue difficulty.For most people this is way more than is necessary.Unlike vaporisers which have a bag as a resorvoir, which is effectively 'dead space', the GVG doesn't have this to the same degree.

I've been considering an electric vape recently. I've narrowed down my list to the Arizer Extreme Q, Arize Solo and the Volcano Plenty.

I have a sherlock GVG, and it's great, but recently i've had a few misfires, even though I'm pretty experienced with it. I've also had a strange thing occur the last two times I've vaped DMT. After the second toke, I got confused to the point where I no longer remembered how to use the GVG, haha! Seriously, I was looking at it thinking 'which end to I smoke it from??'.

I always get the impression that DMT only allows me to trip when IT wants. When I was in my confused state I had a sense that someone was laughing at me. Most likely it was me.

Anyway, the Arizer Extreme Q comes with a 3ft whip. I guess there could be the same recrystallization issues in the whip as there is with the bag. Anyone any experience?

if price is not a problem then the GVG is a sound investment and delivers smoooooooooooth hits of goodness. Any device that heats through convection will probably do the job with savage efficiency once it is mastered.

Alternatively you cant go far wrong with a nice bong and some infused leaf/herb/changa, the only problem with this is that on occasion i have had some near misses with actually try to get the bong back on my bed side table and not spilling it all over my bed.

I agree that GVG is the way to go.

And to answer your question. There is a decent amount of recrystalization in the chamber and stem. So, I would immagine that this would happen in the large surface area of the bag to a higher degree.

You can always salt and Re-x the residue left in the bag after a few uses to recover spice
