Is anyone aware of any DMT documentaries other than the Spirit Molecule?
I was a bit disappinted in it. I think it was more about spreading the word of DMT than spreading real knowledge & information on the chemical. Which I'm not saying is a bad thing... I just expected more from it.
I was mainly interested in people speaking of their own experiences on it.
Are there any documentaries that go further into it?
I would love to see someone travel across the world & interview different cultures about their experiences & personal benefits gained through DMT, particularly those from a real life shaman, not some junkie who cant help but giggle about the subject while beig filmed.

If you read the book ...it is far more in depth.

I really hope that there are NO more docs on the subject...Televising is a sure fire way to get this molecule noticed by the layman...
This is not a good thing IMO..it should stay niche and underground.

Strassmans doc, while informative, only lead to an explosion of interest from the young and uninformed...not a good combination IMO. I mean look at YouTube...it's a mess. Crying or very sad

edit: there are many docs on Aya...

If you're really keen there is extra footage here:
Mod Edit: No torrent links here please, you can find the supplemental spirit molecule videos on youtube
Please do not PM tek related questions

Also, if you're interested in hearing more of the research subjects experiences, I remember Strassman saying somewhere (possibly in the movie) that there are hundreds of hours of footage they couldn't include, but would post online. I haven't gone looking for them myself yet but I'd look for an official "spirit molecule" website, or possibly youtube.

There's one other doc I'm aware of, a french one mainly about Ayahuasca called "Other Worlds". I also just found a new one I haven't seen yet, "Shamans of the Amazon". I'm sure there's more.

I'm mixed on the spirit molecule.. that documentary was part of the reason I found DMT or at least.. it found me. I'm kind of in the mind frame of saying that this drug need's to be shared to a degree but shared in such a strict and responsible manner, if there were some medium similar to true peruvian ayhuasca journeys, like the shamans and mystics, I'm sure DMT introduction could be done in a controlled manner.

Then the other side of my head kick's in and think's that it shouldn't be available to all, those that want to try this psychedelic will find it and find their own means of getting it/making it. I think the same goes for all psychedelics really though, they find you, if you seek it, it will find you.

Mixed opinions.. there are a few seriously good Ayhuasca documentaries and a seriously interesting DMT documentary a friend told me about that I've been meaning to watch all the way through, will link with names tomorrow, don't have them handy at the minute.

Here's one of the Aya docs, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE0sDm5ba-4

In my humble opinion there is nothing controlled about DMT. I am wary of my ego which I have found so easily blown away making decisions about who is worthy or capable of handling this.

The OHT Handbook has a list of movies and documentaries with psychedelic references. Check it out. And while you're at it, check out the whole handbook!!

+1 for Manifesting The Mind and Other Worlds, those are fantastic documentaries. I just watched Manifesting The Mind yesterday.

As far as the Spirit Molecule goes...I'd just go with the book. The actual movie seems more focused on giving you displaying cool visuals and fractals so your dumb friends can go "Bro, that looks so sick, I wanna try it." At least that's the vibe I got from it...
Akasha224 is a fictitious extension of my ego; all his posts do not reflect reality & are fictional

I too could not really get into The Spirit Molecule documentary (I fell asleep...). I have an inscribed copy of the book which I plan to read in depth within a couple months. Inner Paths to Outer Space was a very good read and had a great summary of TSM.

Although I love documentaries as well, if you are really looking for information there is so much to be found in books, journals, articles, university scientific resources, and even the Nexus itself. Like some have said above, making movies is a big expensive process, usually with the goal (at least partially) of making money, leading to commercialization.

Yet there can still be tons of great written resources that don't spread the word in a potentially negative light, as most people aren't motivated to read things that don't initially interest them.

There is a documentary called "Ayahuasca" on Netflix in the US.
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.
