It smells right and has some pink in it, but it's mostly tan. I found pictures of tan mimosa used for leather, and it looks similar to it, Hope someone with more exp. will chime in. I love all of you!

That's some really bad lighting in a reflective bowl. Could you post an image that's more clear? The spice extends life. The spice expands consciousness. The spice is vital to space travel.

Why not extract from a small amount and report back? Then you can answer your own question. thick-light wrote:Recieved some mimosa and it's tan. looks nothing like any swim has gotten before any thoughts or suggestions. FYI - You implied "I" in the first sentence. No need to use "swim" in the next. ;-) "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

Unless it's a lighting issue, that certainly looks more like my morning instant coffee than mimosa root bark... sorry if it's a silly question, but you purchased that as Mimosa Hostilis powdered root bark, right? Was it labeled like that? "The Menu is Not The Meal." - Alan Watts

yeah it was labeled mimosa the company also sent me 100g of chaliponga when 50 were only ordered, gonna try an ext. on 50 g and see what i get. Are there any other strains that might produce a powder that is tan? I love all of you!

SWINM's supplier finally got back to him, it's a mimosa species from peru. Perhaps a new avenue for nexians SWIM will get back after an extraction of some of it is done and bioassayed and let ya'all know if it's worth obtaining. There's a plethora of legume/mimosa species out there, hopefully this one has somwe goodies in it. I love all of you!

Before performing any bioassay of the extract from this plant I would advise you to have this extract tested. You never know what will be in this extract. You can PM me to get more details about having it tested by us. Kind regards, The Traveler
