How to get both jungle spice and white crystal with an STB - A must see!! Options

OK... So either the gnome has stumbled upon some neat tricks that might change the way people extract DMT... or he will look like a newb if these tricks are already being usedSmile The Gnome found a way to get perfectly clean, white crystal and also jungle spice separately with one simple technique... And no further cleaning necessary! He hopes other people try this out and see how easy this is!!! Its almost identical to any other STB method such as the Nomans tek... But there are a few essential steps to getting these AMAZING results.

The Madman's Tek Big grin

1. First things first.. Twice as much naphtha is needed for this trick (because you will be getting a large amount of various alkaloids, tannins and oils.(but DONT worry!)

2. The HARD swirl technique: when you are mixing the entire solution together, grip the glass container VERY tight and swirl it in a wide, circular motion as hard as you possibly can. Start off slow and speed up so the solution is is constantly being pushed outward by cylindrical force. Gnome swirled it VERY VERY hard but NEVER had a problem with emulsions.

(When this is done, he notices a HUGE difference in the outcome because the naphtha becomes super saturated with cloudy white goodness, and it will also have a syrupy consistency and the color of the solution looks dark yellow, almost red color.(but dont worry Cool

3. When pulling the saturated solution out... The gnome takes one extra precaution to make sure NONE of the basified solution gets in the final product. When done correctly, This can eliminate any further need for cleaning... All he does for this is pull a little bit of the saturated solution at a time into one jar, then transferring it little by little into the pyrex dish, which will be put into the freezer. The reason for this step is so if any of the basified solution was sucked out accidentally, it will go in the jar instead of spoiling the solution in the pyrex. REMEMBER - since twice as much naphtha is added, its a lot easier to separate.(You will also see that extra naphtha seems to work GREAT in conjunction with the Hard Swirl technique)

4. This is the MOST important step because this is how you will get white spice AND jungle goo! You wanna stick the the pyrex into the freezer, BUT only for an hour(depending on how cold the freezer is) - You will notice that the orange/red goo forms and sticks to the bottom while the naphtha will have a clearer/yellow color. You wanna pull it out of the freezer after the goo settles, but before crystals form.

you will now be able to pour out the naptha temporarily into a jar and scrape the goo into a second jar. While the nap is in the other jar, add a tiny amount of new nap in the pyrex dish to get all the goo and possible crystal out and pour it into the goo jar. The pyrex can now be washed, dried and the naphtha is poured back into the clean pyrex dish.
(the importance of this is to have the jungle goo in a completely different jar, so the pyrex can form beautiful white crystals since the goo is no longer at the bottom of the dish)

Thumbs up AND THATS IT! I know it may sound a little confusing and long... but the only difference is how much naphtha is used, the HARD swirl, and taking the pyrex out of the freezer so the white spice and jungle spice can be separated before crystallization forms.

I really hope people try this out because it is getting FANTASTIC resultsShocked It eliminates the need to clean up the final product, and you dont end up with a gooey mess!! It may take some trial and error to figure out exactly when it should initially be taken out of the freezer... If you wait too long, you will get some crystals stuck in the jungle spice... but if you take it out too soon, the goo will not have enough time to form on the bottom of the dish. One good thing is, if you keep it in too long... you can bring it back to normal temp and put it back in the freezer for the goo to separate form again.

PS- I would love to hear feedback on this. The Gnome is still new with this, so he could always use some positive feedback AND constructive criticism Smile

PSS- If you already have some gooey yellow deem you are having trouble with... all you need to do is start at step number Four and you may be able to fix the issueThumbs up

So basically a 'cold re-x'...

You will lose a little bit of yield with the nap transfer but not much.

Glad it worked for youSmile

how would that be a cold re-x if it was only crystallized once? It is put in the freezer twice, but is initially taken out before crystals form. and when transferring naphtha over to another jar, a small amount of nap is used in the jar and shaken to make sure very very little is lost

Ive been doing 1:1:15ml stb with enough naptha to top of my jar, shake the heck out of it a few times over an hour, aand then yeah transfer nath to another jar to let everything settle, transfer to agin to pyrex dish with a fan or dehumidifier running over it till about 3/4 evap. transfer back to a air tight jar and placed in freezer few hours-overnight. Pour off naptha into a jar through a coffe filter to catch the floaters then scrape xtals onto pyrex dish for further drying then choppen up into a powder. reuse the napth and repeat 4 or so times. I have been doing this for years. works great and alomst pure white crystals. idk. works for me

ok so the yield is HORRIBLE with the method I tried out!!! Now I am stuck with a bunch of crystal melted into goo.... If I try to do a recrystallization... the goo does not separate from the crystals. its loaded with tannins, fats and oils. So how does one get JUST crystal from it??? I dont even care about the jungle spice part becasue its just causing a huge hassle and I just cant get them separated from each other.

Even after letting the goo settle and pouring of the nap, when the crystals are drying they just turn right back into yellow goo Sad

like I Said, I tried recrystallizing but that does not seem to separate this goo from the nap....

So get the gunky naptha, and take the spice back through an acid phase,

ie wash / shake yellow gunky naptha with 1/3 vol vinegar / water mixed 1:4.

Then re-basify the vinegar and re-extract into clean non gunky naptha...?

Evap 1/3 and freeze

Maybe try that?

I'd try using warm/hot Heptane for your re-X,(instead of Naptha)... but this would be "after" doing the vinegar wash, re-basifying, and re-pulling....
