I did a search and people were saying to use gelatin, use milk, use egg whites....don't add it when it is too hot, etc...

What is the best/correct way to do it?

Why bother? Just drink it and purge. Something about the calming feeling we get after a good purge that really lightens the trip and sweetens the headspace.

The purge really shouldn't feared. I spent a long time fearing it as well...

I don't fear the purge at all, I just want to know how to do it so I can compare a tea with tannins vs a tea w/o tannins.

Irie,
IMHO it's totally unnecessary!
But I have when on the final reduction with just one pan of brew, done the egg white thing.
Drop in when cool, bring to the boil then strain. Reduce brew!
Respect,

wth are they doing, making mousse?

(albeit, mousse would be made from heavy cream. meringue from eggwhites)
activated carbon is the way.

Usually I get nauseated and keeps that way, during the whole thing.
Learned to live with that, as kindof chemo cleaning, a friend.
But after some hours I wish a massive purge to come on, but nope.
So desperately I drink some H2O and use the finger to induce, then some purge, but not like an aya purge.
It works, the nausea is gone, but how in your cases, must induce or purge comes on own power?
