I know that many people these days, see carelessness as a strength. In many hip-hop music, a lifestyle of violence, violence and more violence combined with a total lack of care about virtually anything is being propagated as being, first of all completely normal, and also as a very cool thing in itself. I suspect however, that most people on the DMT-nexus have learned by experience that trying or pretending not to care about anything not only would empoverish lives, but also that you´d be fooling yourself if you think that you could realy live without any care.
So i wonder what you people think: if not carelesness, what is it then, that gives a person strength?

For me, real strength manifests itself with the good practice of courage. Of course good equals agreeing with my personal ethics here: being generous and caring with whom I love, and respecting the freedom of whom I don't - unless it conflicts with the first point. Strength for me personally is having a tuff entheogen experience and going right back in, its standing up for those who aren't able to stand up for themselves eg: kids and animals, its being yourself no matter what, its cultivating pure compassion, its being able to see that there is immense and intense beauty out there which is limitless. Strength is finding your purpose; cultivating it and nurturing it so that you may contribute far more than you are taking away from yourself and the earth. Much Peace and Respect

I think (personal) strength first involves knowing yourself. When you know yourself and you have formulated your own ethics, ideals and norms; then strength is the ease at which you can uphold, defend or protect these personal ethics, ideals and norms when they are challenged or face adversity. IMHO - Strength is the ability to be true to ones convictions and self regardless of the situation, pressure or contrary opinions.

'Strength' clearly has many facets.Including being able to restrain ones anger when one is able to vent it with impunity.IMO. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

The age of information, so-called. One big orgy of overstimulation, a flood of data emulsified. and almost completely unapproachable in the way of intelligibility, sorting it all into a coherent picture looks next to impossible.
You can't expect young minds to grasp the severity of their situation fully. Their instincts tell them to find solid ground, somewhere to dig in..and fight for what is the nature of their strength.
We know what strength is. Many do not know where to find it.
