I mixed it in with hot chocolate I made from scratch also.. Yes, that definitely helps. I'm gonna do that.. thanks man! I was just worried because I've read/heard that eating anything can ruin a mescaline trip....maybe that is all BS.

imho eating calories of any nature (this is why i fast for 18 hours minimum) during your experience or to chase your medicine will indeed diminish the depths of your learning

yea ive drank cacti tea, made smoothies, consumed it in everyway imaginable even with a fork ;p (theres a reason i dont eat it like salad again)
i dont prefer tea, it tends to give me nausea and stomach pain, but it is an effective method of preparation nonetheless. as for chaser i reccommend biting into a lemon/ rinsing you mouth out with some alcohol (listerine works too) and not using a liquid chaser as the more liquid in your stomach the nauseated you will most likely be

thanks....I will try my best to not consume anything...I'll see if I can get away with the biting into the lemon

I find the bitterness to be like strong coffee. A little sugar or other sweetener will balance it out a little and make it less sharp. I filter the tea really well and don't cook it down too much, maybe down to a pint for a couple feet. I haven't tried cream, but that might help too, it just doesn't sound right, but you never know.

Hmmm...you don't cook it down much because then the flavor is more concentrated right. But then if you don't cook it down that much, you have to drink a lot of something that still doesn't taste good. I'm just gonna give it a go and see what happens.

I hold my nose, chug as much as I can in one swallow, take a very small sip of non-sweetened grapefruit juice (which actually tastes sweet compared to the cactus tea), and repeat until all the tea is gone. The lemon sounds like a good idea as well. Either way, with Each gulp it gets more difficult, but sincere determination will get you through. Good travels to you! A scale is a wonderful thing. Everything else posted by CS is lunatic fiction.

Good travels to you! Right on man. I'm starting to think that no matter what way that I choose, it is still gonna take some effort to get this down.

reduce each foot to 200 ml after filtering with cloth
let the 200 ml sit in your fridge overnight, decant away from the gunk at the bottom if you leave this for a week even more will have precipitated out that is not active
reduce your decanted tea to either a smaller shot or a resin (Just dont burn it, let it steam to reduce)

i really recommend you get a dehydrator and cut out a rings lattice work to fit a pie dish in, a nesco food dehydrator evaporates about 100 ml per hour @ 155 f or less, no risk of burning ever. great for drying cacti, making resin, making changa, evaporating salts, etc
|
|
|
it was so worth breaking the lattice off of just one ring for this, i use it daily
im thinking of rigging my crock pot on the bottom so that it can be evaporated by conduction heat as well as the dehydrators convection heat, maybe i can get the evaporation rate up from 100 ml/hour with this further innovation

Yeah man, that is a great idea. Thanks.

why not just continue reducing tea down to a tar, then take like pills rather than diluting with things to make more palatable? Nagdeo
|
|

^^ this is also a reputable preparation technique, and for storage id do this if i had a tea

nicechrisman wrote:why not just continue reducing tea down to a tar, then take like pills rather than diluting with things to make more palatable? Well, I tried that one time with 1 foot of Bridgesii and it was just ok....I heard that the tea is a lot more potent than the tar...Maybe I just need to take 2 feet?

Nothing is removed. And yes, probably 2 feet. Nagdeo
