In Time's quick stream you spoke to me We took the plunge together, In a forest by a fire we glimpsed Power, old without measure. Stood on the edge, And looking in Saw Love's strange shadow Framed in feathers.
You left that day we walked alone, And journeyed far beyond. It started with a riddle that then became a song of hope And hidden promised sighs. She spoke to me And I became A listener free of lies.
The journey took a lifetime Between heartbeats of birds And floating down through unknown paths, A storm began to churn. A death without an answer Was breathed upon those lips, Took many times A laboured step To move closer to this:
In five ages of glory And naked bliss it came, Though howling all above around, The Absolute remained. Timeless. An offering, inviting us: To plant the seed Inside the storm, And swim up through the fray... A grain of hope will grow up strong When darkness tries to stay.
