..umm, i want to help, but with over 1000 acacias it can be really hard without flowers/pods to ID a tree..i'll have a think, but can be almost impossible to be 100% certain without fertile material..it could be A. saligna (or relative)..btw, the leaves in the 4th bottom picture are of a different species (sickle shaped)..

I'm almost certain that all these pics are the same tree. Some of the leaves were sickle shaped and some weren't? I thought it was weird too

Well, Im not really sure if an ID is totally neccessary. you might do a small test extraction to see if there are any alks. Even a yeild of .5% is still a lot with say 100 gms of phyllodes.... There are so many different interbred Acacias that often there are crossovers that may be almost impossible to ID without flowers (july) or pods (sept) I stumbled into a forest of what looks like the same species the other day and I am just about to do some tests... i find the best way to find out is to test a small amount of the bark buy doing the extraction. if you only remove 50% of the bark from one side the tree it should survive and grow more bark which is good if u get results and you can go back later. there is a testing kit u can get which will test for dmt. http://www.eztestkits.co...n/ehrlich-ez-testing-kit this test is for the final product after its been extracted though. or just wait for summer and it starts to flower. its only 6 months away  It's not the feeling of the high when you're running round. It's the friends that you find when you're coming down

Yep you guessed it mate  I found a tree which was dead of this species so i have taken all the bark from it i will be sure to do an extraction and let you all know how it goes.
