Im just wanting to congratulate myself on my first conscious projection! and to all the other people out there as well. After trying for about 8 months, I figured that I was trying too hard and that will put my trust into my etheral self to show me the way when the time is right....well 4:20am one sunday morning I woke up and I had a real kife mouth sos I went downstairs to grab some water (-flouride, flouride is bad mmkay) and took a leak. I lay down in bed and basicly as soon as my head hit my pillow I once again got the ''vibe'' but this vibe was much stronger than any before and I knew right awayPleased My body went completly numb and weightless then I calmly floated up to about my celing. It was still dark and hard to see, but I just had to turn around to make sure my body was under me, and it sure was until seconds later I could feel my shoulders on my bed, then within 30 seconds it was over.

Congrats, astralspice. It's a pretty cool phenomenon. Did you get excited at all?

I have a theory that excitement makes the brains oscillation frequency jump and switch modes, thus pulling people out of these kinds of experiences. I have had good success with remaining as calm as possible.

Yes in my experience I have found that the realization of the state instinctively causes the body and soul to realign and thus the reason the less logical are capable of exploring such phenomena than the more stringent of minds. If I am to offer any advice in this region it would be that you should undertake a sweat lodge experience as it has IMHO the power to separate mind from body although in almost primal and cruel way.

In essence it reverses this instinct as the pain and suffrage is so great that it forces the mind to 'run from the body'. A floatation tank has this power as well but in a more pleasant manner but holding the same restrictions of presence of mind affords. The lodge holds the power over all of these as the body is not a place during the experience the mind desires to return to.

I think there is a particular value of separating the soul from the body if only to understand what is in definition of what.

Hi Vovin, I would like give a sweat lodge a try if I had access to one (or make oneConfused ) also I've read in another thread of yours that you may be planning on building a spiritual retreat where you will offer these kinds of services as well as others. I have been looking into purchasing a float tank and found a web page that takes you to all of the tank dealers in the world. It may come in handy for you someday.

www.floatfinder.com ok right now the site is bing re-directed so nevermind lol

awesome astralspice, i can never do it; when i go to bed i'm usually too tired to keep repeating "my body is asleep my mind is awake." congratulations though. i hear the supplement onnit that joe rogan advocates helps you stay conscious in your projections (he talks about lucid dreams but they're so similar). in this episode of his podcast

http://blog.joerogan.net/archives/3531

tim ferriss and him talk about it and he mentions some of the stuff in it that specifically helps you stay conscious during your lucid dreams.

Man, I'm so jealous! I once projected to a point very far in space, and existed here on Earth and way out in space at the same time, and lived between the breath. I consciously relaxed myself out of my body and just sort of sighed away. Though, in my case, I did it during the tail end of an amazing night of pharma; it is a goal of mine to do it with no assistance, hence my good-natured jealousy. I know the technique I used to shrug my body away, and it was so easy that one time, but try as I might, pharma or not, I've never been able to leave this shell of mine like I did that one night . . . **sigh**

Congrats brother! I would love to have the experience one day. I've been separated from my body with the aid of DMT many times, but I would love to have the experience while completely sober.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah were working on a community, as far as float tanks I built one many years ago and will probably do the same again when space is available. Cheap to build and expensive to buy I think self fabrication offers a more cost effective solution and it also allows one to customize their designs.

If I have the ability I will create a cave type place, underground and thus sound dampening much like the caves of my youth when spelunking. There was always a strange silence in those places. Almost like floating in space when repelling down great chasms in the pitch dark.

I myself want to expand on the float tank technology. In the past I have found that the earthen walls of a cave and balancing from the waist like when repelling creates a much more effective lack of stimulation. It brings about strange artifacts of the mind to be surrounded by earth and in utter silence and darkness. The body forgets which way is up and there is much less sensation. You feel timeless eternal as if you were dead but still self aware.
If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

This is actually a very common technique in tibetan dream yoga. They wake themselves up at various points in the night and do some chores and then lay back down for sleep trying to remain conscious while entering the dream world.

If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.
