That's the world I want to live in...

I would probably dress like a pink invisible banana myself.

Agreed, one of the most 'out there' of haute couture designers and such an unlikely looking sort of fellow too. It was a big loss to the fashion industry when he passed away.

Much love,

All looks, no content.

Maybe next, these designers get a hyperspace ethical slap, and stop hiring underweight "models" and supporting a nasty shallow industry that perpetuates this unrealistic and unhealthy beauty ideal and creates suffering worldwide...

*excuse my negativity.

blue lunar night, the third picture is amazing!!

endlessness, i agree with the fact that fashion is generally unethical, but behind the shiny lights and vip parties, there are people working really hard on something that they love. I think it's undeniable that some clothes can be pieces of art. I wouldnt only associate fashion with the consumerist society, it's still one of the many forms in which we can express our self.

I love this series of blogs.

Hey, it's art. Not everyone has to get it. I'm not that much for the fashion industry lol but i'm pretty sure these kind of works are more about creativity and show than they are about maintaining a beauty image of how we are supposed to look. Besides, who would wear any of these things in public anyway! lol!

These pictures are scary and impressive to me. Some of these models look strikingly alien/elf-like to me it's pretty jaw-dropping. i appreciate it. Smile

Haute couture is not designed for everyday wear, it is for inspiration. High street designers will take a small element of haute couture and involve it into more wearable fashion.

And the unhealthy or 'waif' look of models is a phase. It will go out of fashion eventually, and there is some evidence of a new, more healthier look becoming favoured. Very happy
