100g peruvian torch was used following the tek at erowid

http://www.erowid.org/pl.../cacti_chemistry2.shtml

after several pulls and using citric as the acid, he evapped, dried, broke it up into little chunks that are slightly chewy, taste both salty and sweet (much like a sour patch kid actually). Swim's scale broke but it feels to weight about 2-3 grams total, here it is next to a standard bic lighter to get some idea of scale.

Does this look a good result? In the pan there were plenty of crystals covering the bottom but it is much thicker and gooier than spice so he is concerned there is xylene still in there although he made extra sure not to suck any up.

It seems like way too much final product for 100g, like the crystals are lost in there, envelopped in something... maybe they need a "wash"? Please help!

Do you mean just rinsing it in acetone?

You can actually seperate the citric acid from the mescaline citrate by basically doing a freeze-precip with water as the solvent. See this extraction process for details
