Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone has tried to infuse herb by putting it straight into the evaping vinegar when using the Q21 jimjam tek?

I can't see any reason it wouldn't work and it would save the cost and (small) potential for solvent ending up in the final product.

Anyone know why this wouldn't work or why its a bad idea?

Cheers

I haven't tried doing that, but I'm thinking that one difference is the solvent pH. Acetone and IPA have a neutral pH of 7, while vinegar is very acidic. I don't know if the low pH of vinegar might alter the properties of the infused herbs.

Some people smoke acetates...

I once had a jar half full of melted DMT freebase after evaporating some vinegar pulled from limo and freebasing with heat in the oven.

I just threw herbs in the melted dmt and dried it and it worked great.
