Rescued this little guy the other day as he was marching along a dirt road really slowly, I'm almost certain if I hadn't come across him he surely would have been squished... I have always had a deep love and fascination with chameleons and I havent seen one in years, sadly they are becoming a rare sight so i thought it would be lovely to share this amazing encounter with you guys. ♥ Much Peace and Compassion

Good for you. Just make sure it gets all the love it deserves. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

what's his/her name? If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

Beautiful! You either have to find him/her a partner or set it free in a safe place Listen to a man of experience: thou wilt learn more in the woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach thee more than thou canst acquire from the mouth of a master. St. Bernard

neither of us would take a wild animal home (its wrong on so many levels)- it was placed in the bushes nearby with minimal handling. as you can see in the pic - it didnt even have time to stress. i didnt know ppl kept em as pets - but i sure as hell wouldnt like it if i got plucked from my house and kept in a tank by some massive chameleon. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...
...unlike the "blind leading the blind". we are more akin to a group of blind-from-birth people who have all simultaneously been given the gift of sight but have no words or mental processing capabilites to work with this new "gift".
IT IS ONLY TO THE EXTENT THAT WE ARE WILLING TO EXPOSE OURSELVES OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO ANNIHILATION THAT WE DISCOVER THAT PART OF OURSELVES THAT IS INDESTRUCTIBLE.

you've just been promoted to expert chameleon rescuer, congrats!!! Unfortunately, I'm red-green color blind. So... my chances of spotting a chamaleon [even at the zoo] have always been slim to none. “The quest is to be liberated from the negative, which is really our own will to nothingness. And once having said yes to the instant, the affirmation is contagious. It bursts into a chain of affirmations that knows no limit. To say yes to one instant is to say yes to all of existence.”

Wow guys thank you so very much for all your lovely and kind words, the little guy was walking across the road and i couldn’t not help him... I just gently picked him up off the road, took two really quick pictures of him as we didnt want him to get stressed or scared and then we placed him back into his natural habitat. I love chameleons and respect them far too much to keep one captive; they are so rare at the moment I haven’t seen one in years. Check out these two pages as they are highly informative...
