DMT, that familiar hypnotist. Options

Whenever I journey it always feels so familiar.

It's like I am being mesmerised or hypnotised by someone or something.

I can choose to relax and let it take me (the easiest, safest and preferred option.)

Once in the trance, the slightest thing can "break the spell."

The latest time I did it there were scores of beings, big and small, reckless and caring. A whole spectrum.
Realities phased in and out of each other and I remember telepathically asking "everyone" to be gentle with me. ("Slowly, slowly" I seemed to be saying.)

I received an insight about my insights. I realised that when I venture into hyperspace I feel like I'm on a mission to bring back something tangible and every time I am gifted with insight I rush "home" to delver it and in doing so I always miss out on more gifts.

I think I have learned to lower my expectations and that the next step for me it to transfer any gifts back to 3D reality energetically and vibrationally through my life instead of looking for "tangible" results of shamanic pursuits.

Can anyone relate to all or part of this?

That sounds absolutely gorgeuous - Nowdays I ask myself - what of those powerful images REALLY implode in my life as a whole -
and it seems that, the vibration you choose determines the degree of application of what you've learned.

That "I know this feeling... how do I know this?" sense. Man that hit me like a freight train the first breakthrough I had, and almost every time since.

I assume because it is activating components of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, thus the result.
All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.

Reminds me of a time when I was 'under the spell' and my GF came storming in not knowing I had just partaken talking about house work or some other nonsense... Snapped me back into reality pretty hard, despite still tripping pretty damn hard. This is why we hear people saying 'it wasn't like I expected / read about' etc from people who smoked in a room full of people saying 'what are you seeing? what are you seeing?!' trying to get some sort of real time description... YOU ARE RUINING THAT PERSON'S EXPERIENCE YOU CRETINS!!!

But yes, I love it when the spell descends and madness ensues, nothing is quite so remarkably beautiful - I can't say that much of it is particularly familiar though.

I sometimes get feelings of familiarity, so much so that I can't trip....I just feel like I'm me, there is nothing I can do to not be me, and this molecule doesn't change that, so the spice doesn't do much of anything for me. Thats not usually the case though. There are times when there is no me, when I've totally vanished into the ether but somehow I know I'm not dead because I can feel my body out there somewhere breathing which is very re-assuring!
There was one time when I launched and I forgot to shut off the phone. Just as I was going for breakthru the phone rang! All I saw was an image of a big fuse blowing and then my trip was over. Kind of sounds funny now, but I was very disappointed at the time. Crying or very sad
The most madness that ensues for me is when on a larger dose I totally lose my identity and it sometimes feels like I'm coming back from some sort of blackout state not even knowing what happened to me...it can be a real mind f&^k!
Peace

Every time I begin a journey, it starts with all the shapes and colors, but specifically entities, performing these strange mechanical like motions. It feels like you described, like I'm being hypnotized, but almost in reverse. Instead of "bringing me under", they are "bringing me UP and AWAKE" out of this reality. At this stage I'm still early in my DMT use and this stage is always frightening for me. I have not learned to let go here.

Once I am in hyperspace, if I don't have a hard-breakthrough and I'm still at least mildly aware of myself I'll continue doing what you described. As soon as something really interesting occurs, I will start having racing thoughts, which is me trying to already integrate this interesting idea or vision. I'll next think "Oh if I hit the pipe harder I can get more clarity", so as I come back down, I hit the pipe again, but that first vision is gone, and I slip back into some anxiety. Eventually I calm and then see something interesting, and the process cycles all over again.

I became aware of this for myself for the first time the last time I tripped a few days ago. I believe with my awareness of it now, I will be able to stop doing it so much.

Have you had any improvement?
