My Cuttlefish decided to use this tek: www.dmt.20m.com
10g lye/200ml water/20g MHRB/50ml naphtha

It's been about 5hours since the mollusk decided to wander away from the lab and found no clear partition between the naphtha and MHRB/lye solution. Lt. Smash is crossing his tentacles in hoping to meet his brethren in hypersea but skeptic in the lack of quality in materials. Should he up the weight or consider another vendor?

Red char incense? Who would burn this stuff? It smells like fish!

Your cuttlefish has an emulsion. That tek calls for too little lye and water (and too much naphtha, IMO). Add another 10 grams of lye and 100 mL of water. Also, both warming up the mixture, and saturating it with rocksalt, will help to break the emulsion.

hey ty emulsion broke apart overnight. my cuttlefish is much obliged, but now the top layer seems quite clear compared to the partition pic. Too clear in fact Confused

Should Smash just freeze it up?

Yeah, just remove the naphtha layer and put it in the freezer. It really doesn't pick up much color during the extraction.
