I was lucky enough to be around when high quality ecstacy was still available at cheap prices. And you didn't have any idiots there posturing trying to be the badman, or maybe I was just too high off those amazing pills lol. Things certainly changed but Drum and Bass is still incredible music. I do blame drugs such as mephedrone for the shift in attitude at these sorts of events. Lose Control, Free My Soul, Break Me Open, Make Me Whole."DMT kicked my balls off" - od3

Quote:I do blame drugs such as mephedrone for the shift in attitude at these sorts of events. I've never been to a rave or done MDMA, but I have done mephedrone. I thought it was wonderful... Made me feel like crap the next day though (those pesky amphetamines). My brother is into raves, and he's been trying to get me to go. I'll have to take him up on his offer one day soon. Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

Glad you enjoyed it though, but I have certainly noticed a change in attitude as the music has become more mainstream and the drugs have changed.... I dunno, maybe I'm just getting old and cynical Lose Control, Free My Soul, Break Me Open, Make Me Whole."DMT kicked my balls off" - od3

Purges, I wasn't claiming that Mcat and MDMA are similar in their effects, not that I would know. Mcat felt awesome. Too awesome for me to do anything but sit and revel in how awesome it felt. I can't imagine dancing on Mcat and that's why I imagine MDMA resulting in a much different flavor of experience. The effects of Mcat were completely physical too; none of the empathy or emotions that MDMA users report. I'm sure MDMA is much more enjoyable and rewarding. Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.
