luckily i've recently come upon a nice steam distiller ( http://heartmagic.com/EssentialDistiller.html ) and fresh sweet flag. i was wondering how effective anyone would guess the resulting oil would be dosed on an empty stomach? and if anyone has any great ideas for this steam distiller i would love to hear them, such as other plants to use etc.

that is such a sweet setup, ive been drooling for 2 yrs over that one.

essential oils, recycling solvents, etc it seems quite handy. i might swap in a graham condenser for some runs.

sweet flag is nice, i like to chew it on hikes, or for prolonged dancingVery happy never tried extract tho, very interested to hear how it goes. did you pick the calamus yourself?

69ron made several posts about sweetflag. He said that washing it with aceton will remove toxic substances that cause side-effects.

yeah, i picked it fresh. cool, i'll do that acetone next time. too bad i cracked the boiling flask by falling asleep and adding water all half asleep and what not. i will never steam distill or do anything you have to watch over while i'm sleepy ever again. but i got some and swim is going to dose it on an empty stomach and deem it up and see how it goes.
