I know we have all seen zombie movies, and we have all gotten the thought What If? It sure it would be so sweet going zombie hunting. One Idea i always had was if i was bitten and only had an hr or so till i turned, i would definitely eat a bunch of L or take a massive spice hit, Wonder what a Zombie tripping would be like? According to the walking dead, the part of your brain effected by psychoactives wouldn't really be functioning.
TBH, I think being a zombie's already trippy enough.

The television, organised religions and the entireity of western cultures status quo generally keeps the people zombified. Various spiritual disciplines and certain plant teachers and chemical allies happen to be around which can be utilised to help you awaken, a cure for zombi-ism. Wake the mental dead. I appreciate your perspective.

I'd make sure I have some necrophiliac companions to rape and scare zombies off. Actually as we speak (and since in all honestly I expect a zombie apocalypse pretty soon) I train myself and few others in necrophilia. Zombies, who's the boss now? I reckon I'd go necro in a zombie holocaust.
I think a one night stand/quick fling would be much less awkward in such a culture.

Wake the mental dead. I think that's why there's such a surge in zombie films and shows lately. People are waking up to the fact that they're zombified, and they're angry and frustrated and want to express that. I've always been a big zombie fan, since I saw my first zombie flick at 10 One conversation I was having recently with a co-worker about zombies and how it would come about in the real world. I said that if the rabies virus mutated and became airborne, essentially we would have a zombie epidemic. Of course people wouldn't turn into ravenous zombies within an hour or a few minutes/seconds like in the movies, but it could happen pretty quickly. A horde of people infected with some mutated rabies virus, clawing and biting and foaming at the mouth...sounds terrifying, doesn't it?

..i believe the original "Dawn Of The Dead" (George A. Romero - 1978 ) was actually a subtle commentary on consumerist shopping mall society..i.e 'zombies'..great soundtrack music by the italian band Goblin BTW.. also, there's real Zombies, as in victims of Haitian sorcery given puffer-fish extract, certain daturas and 20 other ingredients..have you seen the film "The Serpent and the Rainbow"? ..t's a rather embellished version of Wade Davis' investigations in Haiti of zombie potion..he wrote two great books on the subject...

Yes, I've done a little reading on the history of 'zombies' ie. the VooDoo practice of enslavement and the Haitian potion a la Serpent and the Rainbow. All George Romero's early zombie films were social commentaries IMO. Look at the first one, Night of the Living Dead. It's 1968 and you have a black man as the hero, who ends up being killed in the end. Also what you've already said about the consumerist culture of the 70's, I think that's exactly what he was saying there as well. Much more than just a silly horror film, his films really had something to say about society and the time they were made in.

"Passage of Darkness" by Wade Davis is the better of the two books for zombi ethnobotanical information..a great read.. .

Here´s some advice if you want to rape them zombies: play a michael jackson song..makes ´em dance so they become easier targets. 'Don´t stop till i get enough' seems apropriate.

I always wondered what it would be like to be a zombie. I mean hell it might be like living in ellysium for eternity, sure brains are on short supply, but hell wondering around with a group of mates, chillin, checking out the scenery etc... sounds like fun. I wish they'd do a movie shot from the Zombies experience. I imagine it would go something like this: Day 47: Chuck went out looking for brains again this morning, still no luck! Man we are all so hungry and the humans keep torching our shelters, so we have to be on the move and we keep running into them. They are so quick to shoot!!! I wish they'd just tell us what they wanted. Yesterday I lost my wife. We have only been together since the virus spread, but I really loved her, and some jerk just shot her head clean off. Anyway Diary if the death-toll keeps up looks like it'll just be me and you soon. P.S. BRRRRAAAAAAAIIIINNNS!!! Peace PW Sonorous fractal manifestastions, birthing golden vibrations, that echo through folds of space & time, ferry my soul closer to God
