there was a thread about this a little while ago, but i am unable to find it (can only find the crystal pic thread which was updated today, and i assume what inspired you to crystallize) but i think they were saying just a simple re-crystallization should suffice.
they mentioned something about a sodium carbonate wash, but i think if you are getting white powder, then your dmt is fine and that is unnecessary.
also apparently if your dmt crystals take on a square shape (like sugar crystals) it is supposed to be "better" according to whoever started the thread i can't find.

EDIT: couldn't find the exact thread i was looking for, but i remembered it was posted by captainfuture

these threads most likely have all the info you need/will need.

You can recrystallise your product if you want prettier crystals. Dissolve in a minimal amount of solvent, add a bit more than needed to dissolve your spice and from there you can drop out in the freezer (lower the temperature slowly for bigger crystals - ie room temp to fridge to freezer and maybe even alternate between the fridge and freezer a few times). If you have nice clean spice already maybe try evapping off the solvent (slower the better).

There are tons of ways to do it and a lot of different things that will affect the outcome including temperature, purity, solvent, amount of solvent, container shape and size.

A lot of it is down to experimentation, have a play!
