I've always found music to be an integral part of my trip experiences. Being as such I'd like to share some of my more recent finds and listen to what the community recommends. So here goes:

(I listen primarily to electronic/ambient/beat music so that's what most this is. Just a heads up.)

Airbird - Beautiful new work and artist that carries an 80's 2.0 kind of flavor. Very awesome.

ADR - Introspective tunes with beautiful arrangment and production. Carries a slight Boards of Canada vibe.

Casino Versus Japan - Excellent experimental electronic artist. Always good stuff.

Boards of Canada - Classic electronic group with perhaps the most psychedelic embellishments in the history of music.

The Olivia Tremor Control - Classic indie rock psychedelic group with two outstanding classic albums ('Dusk at Cubist Castle' and 'Black Foliage'Pleased that belong in any tripper's collection.

Aphex Twin - De facto standard for intense modern electronic productions.

Com Truise - Talented synth-pro with a very promising future and several successful previous projects.

Love Boards of Canada, a truly beautiful ambient electronic experience. Appreciate Aphex Twin but have never really been able to jive into it. Just recently heard Com Truise and like what I hear so far. All of the others I will have to check out for sure.

Some of my recent favorites that you might enjoy

Emancipator - This guy is in his low 20's. Solid brilliant electronic composer

Sigur Ros - Out of Iceland. Words will never be adequate to describe a power of this magnitude, Sigur Ros are ghods on earth.

Explosions in the Sky - Instrumental band that will take your soul to the heights of this earth...

Amon Tobin - Just saw this show live... amazing lightshow and amazing music, quite the performance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK7rJKRJIws
http://www.youtube.com/w...Jco0&feature=related - Example of his light show, he is a mind hacker of the highest degree, he will warp your fragile mind Pleased

Have fun. Be safe!

The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”

I really dig all that stuff. I had a friend who saw that Amon Tobin lightshow as well and he really amazed by it.

If you'd like to get into Aphex Twin I would recommend his Selected Ambient Works '85-'92 album. Very chill beats and a great overall mood to it.

Parodia Flare by Tropics also great if you're looking for recent music.
