Psych (T.V. show) and Salvia Options

So I love Psych. the t.v. show on USA. It is hilarious and awesome, but it somewhat broke my heart today.

The new episode was on today, and it was kind of styled after The Hangover, or Dude, Where's My Car. You see them out at the beginning of a party, then they wake up the next day with no recollection of what had happened, because their drinks had been spiked, and they were unknowingly drugged. Hilarity ensues when they try to uncover the previous nights events.

Here is the kicker however, the drug that made them not remember anything from the previous night, was a "hallucinogenic herb called Salvia Divinorum". Not only that, but this was discovered through a piss test, a day later.

SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THIS!!!! ugh!

Salvia cannot be detected by a piss test, because it is out of your system super fast. (Confirmation? Half life of about 6 hours?)
Salvia can IN NO WAY, SHAPE, or FORM be "slipped" to you in a drink for multiple reasons.
And the effects don't last nearly long enough to make you forget an ENTIRE NIGHT.
Oh it was bad. SOOO much misinformation.

With that said, i can't help but forgive the show, because they later made a "Leroy Jenkins" reference.

Thoughts?

Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.

In a study involving human subjects, urine was collected within 90 minutes after consuming the drug; this sample contained very small amounts of salvinorin A. No samples collected after 90 minutes contained any detectable quantity of the drug. Presumably persists somewhat longer with oral/buccal dosing, but it still wouldn't be within the limits of detection the next day.

Basically correct.

Definitely correct, unless we're talking about a seriously massive black-out dose that was somehow successfully administered orally.

I think S. divinorum in popular media is bad news right now. About half the country has already made it illegal; we don't need the other half to follow suit.

^^This. I'm pretty sure if a handful of Nexians can't even come up with a 100% successfull way for oral dosing, at any dosage, and for any amount of time, then no one else in the world has. Rolling eyes

Exaggerations, I know, but you guys get the point.

All I know is if I was slipped Salvia unknowingly the last thing that would ensue would be hilarity. More like "Dude, where's my consciousness?"
