As most of us know, the revolution is growing and it is gaining more and more publicity, good and bad.
With all this excitement and information from all sides floating around I thought it may be a good idea to start a thread on things people can do to help move it along.

Protesting is great but a lot of us that want to be a part of it cannot for one reason or another.
Supporting the protesters with food and money donations is also a good option, but what I was thinking about are things like;
withdrawing savings from corporate banks?
boycotting certain institutions?
paying cash for things?

I am not sure if these things will actually help but I hope some of you who are more knowledgable about these issues can shed some light on them.

Withdraw your money and burn the bank to the ground. Nothing is going to change unless it actually changes. One thing I've learned from psychedelics is if you want to recreate, you need to first destroy.

Of course, this is quite illegal. How convenient that these invisible laws that have been engrained into our being refrain us from doing what needs to be done. They've effectively nullified the population by training them to be afraid of what will happen if they step out of line. I am so tired of this.

Bank transfer day = November 5th. The main idea is take your bank deposits from the TBTF banks and put them in nonprofit banks like USAA or credit unions.

Problem is, this option is not available to just anyone, as credit unions are usually tied to employment of some specific type (and USAA is tied to military service members), and credit unions are generally just aggregators anyway, i.e. they take their deposits and sell them upstream to the other banks at a bulk rate, passing the savings along to the depositors.

I cancelled cable this summer and ended up paying just about the same for concert webcasts. So, no real cash savings, but at least now my money is being spent towards things I like better. Paying in cash when you can is also a terrific idea.

The main idea of voting with your dollar is a tremendous concept, even for those with insubstantial funds. The world you change may be only your own, but that really oughta be plenty for anyone on this board!
