Yeah, I wonder how they are so intimidated to report about this. They DO report most protests

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Mahatma Gandhi That fits what's going on with these protests thus far...ignored by all mainstream media for the first ~8 days. Day 8-9 NYT and ABC and a few others run back page, op-ed, or blog articles. Day 10 and 11, first op-ed articles ridiculing protests appear. Keep watching...this is gonna get interesting, imo. This is very encouraging. I hope we see this grow. Do not listen to anything, "Steely" says. He is a made up character that his owner likes to role play with. His owner is very delusional and everything he says is completely untrue and ridiculous. Shocking behaviour there. The world certainly is in a climate of change at the moment, lets hope it's for the positive this time around. Lose Control, Free My Soul, Break Me Open, Make Me Whole."DMT kicked my balls off" - od3

This is awesome that it's getting some real mainstream attention. I hope more people watch this video. Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic element...

I e-mailed this video to my tea party father. Here's the response I got. Global's Father wrote:Lawrence O'Donnell has about as much credibility as the disgraced Keith Oberman. The message: illegal, as opposed to legal assembly will not be tolerated by Police. If you think the Police are going to allow NYC to look lie the streets of Eygpt, Syria or Lybia, you're mistaken. Communists are free to emigrate to China, the Soviet Union, Cuba or Venezuela, where they will be treated with the respect they desire. This is a country of law and order. I'll see you later. Dad winking to which I replied Global wrote:
You clearly missed the point in that it is peaceful protest being responded to by illegal police brutality. If you can condemn unwarranted violence against civil disobedience then I suppose you were for the police beating of blacks in the 1960's at when they "illegally" sat in white-only sections at restaurants. The law said they couldn't do it, so I suppose the officers were within their means to violently abuse them. What you're saying is equatable to "if you think the police are going to allow American restaurants to look like restaurants of Africa, you're mistaken." In your argument against these NYC peaceful protesters, I'm failing to see who you view the victim is of their illegal assembly. If you think that police can operate outside the same set of laws to uphold the law, you have some serious flaws in your logic and conscience.

Man I hope this spreads! if the military chooses to stand with the people the game could change very rapidly. If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

Global, much props for standing up to your tea party father with logic and dignity and morality. It is often hard when those we love and/or are related to see things completely differently than we do. Keep fighting the good fight! Peace. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna

SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

Watch on Wednesday (tomorrow), at least three (and potentially 4-5) of the largest Unions in addition to student walkouts are joining with Occupy Wall Street for a huge protest march. Me and my roommate went up and met with a couple other friends. We were there for three days and two nights (Friday through Sunday); just long enough to donate our bodies to the Brooklyn Bridge Occupation. I heard some really good things about the Occupy Boston movement and read some really promising reports regarding their logistics and set-up. Unfortunately I'm currently living in the South, so I can't make it a regular habit (although there are several events near me that I plan to start hanging out at after this week). This upcoming weekend I'm going to my family home in D.C. and had planned on spending my time at the October 2011 movement occupation (an anti-war occupation being staged in Freedom Plaza starting on the 6th). I've heard that the Occupy D.C. event (a technically separate protest) is also growing in numbers, so I may go by there and check it out as well. I'm so insanely excited to see this thing gaining momentum...I will be refreshing the news non-stop tomorrow. I'll add a few pictures from the Boston rally's when I get home tonight. We didn't get down there until about 8:30 and we didn't stay to long. There looked to be about 50-60 tents and I'd guess 100-150 people or so that were still present taking part in the general assembly meeting. I think the Boston movement is going to pick up steam more today with a lot of area students planning a walk out and a break from the rain. Also there is a movement kicking off in Portland Maine now and some of the excess donations from the Boston movement will be headed up that way. All in all it looked modestly organized, but honestly I think it needs to pick up a little more steam. They need to get some people that have a little more power behind their voices for the meetings. Of course take some of this with a grain of salt...we only stayed and observed for about 10 minutes...so I can't pretend to really have a pulse on things. We are thinking about going back this weekend and setting up a place to run a video camera and essentially give everyone 2 minutes to say what they want to say and then host the video material unedited for free. Peace Edited...BTW There were Iraq war vets there camping and protesting with everyone else! Pictures later!
