ok so i really want to try a dmt extraction but i have no idea where do buy naptha or NAOH (lye) in europe - i cant use any of the usual sources as they are all in the US.
what exactly is Naptha, are there any other more common terms maybe? what other products could I use that are common in the EU?
I found NOAh on amazon, it this the right stuff?

Look for distilled "white spirits" I believe that is what people in the UK use as a naptha source.
If you find a product, google "Product name + MSDS" and you should be able to find a .pdf with information regarding ingredients in the mix.
You can also evaporate a small bit on a piece of glass, or a mirror, or a CD, to make sure your non polar solvent doesn't leave any residues. If it does, find something else. It is important to use pure chemicals in the extraction process.
I am not sure about the NaOH product you have listed here. Do you have any hydroponic stores in your area? You can find Advanced Nutrients pH up which is a very strong solution of KOH (Potassium Hydroxide) I am sure you can also find it online if you can't find anything else.
Welcome to the Nexus, lechuck, I hope you find what you are looking for.

theres lots of growshops here yes, and they do sell PH up nutrients but not from Advanced Nutrients

i found this on amazon: hxxp://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_de_DE=%C5M%C5Z%D5%D1&url=search-alias%3Dsports&field-keywords=coleman+benzin&x=0&y=0
someone told me to look for coleman fuel, is that the right stuff?

Sorry, the link isn't working on my end.
You can just google the product name + MSDS to get the information you are looking for.

Some (me included) have worked with white spirit, which in the UK at least, is heavy naphtha. I have been successful in my experiments, but there are many who have reported issues. A good source in the UK is lighter fuel, R0nsonol here is VM&P naphtha according to the MSDS. Another good source of non-polar solvent I’ve worked with recently is camp1ng stove fuel (Pr1mus P0werFuel, don’t know about C0leman here). In the UK you can get it in 1L bottles and I hear larger ones too on the continent. Quite cheap, here at least, and I think good to work with. According to the MSDS it is light naptha & n-pentane. Excuse the obfuscation of brand names!

For naphta: Check out Wundbenzin Lye is being sold as "Laugenperlen" or "Brezellauge" ..it's being used to make pretzels. Another common use for lye is soap making. So my advice: Hit medical supply shops/pharmacys for naptha, and bakery/soap making supply shops for lye.

For various reasons, I would strongly recommend NOT using White Spirits. As far as the UK is concerned, Ronsonol lighter fluid is the best most easily available form of Naphtha. As for NaOH, in the UK, this can be obtained from any chemists/pharamacy. I imagine that Europe will be the same.

lol didnt know it was that simple.. I should be able to get waschbenzin easily and I already found pure NAOH on amazon

Even better than waschbenzin is wundbenzin becouse it is purer. You can buy it in every pharmacy.

Ok. But at a pharmacy you can only buy Wundbenzin- that is the medical grade stuff-they dont sell waschbenzin Waschbenzin you can buy at harware stores- it is not as pure as wundbenzin. At least in austria these are two different things.

You might be right. Get Wundbenzin/Petrolether...

Yes.That is the good stuff

you can also order NaOh in most pharmacies, there is brezellauge and pure NaOh draincleaner blessed be all forms of intelligence
|

You could also look for Laugenperlen. Laugenperlen is NaOH in its solid form, while Bretzellauge is a liquid NaOH solution. Or you look for Ätznatron this is the draincleaner as said above.

You can also use Trinatrium Phosphate instead of lye. (I have a thread about this experiment and it was successful!) It has a somewhat lower PH, but it is sufficient for A/B teks. If it can handle an STB remains to be seen. I have doubts as it is far less caustic and would probably not dissolve the material nearly as well. Bonus with TSP is it is FAR less dangerous. At 12 PH or more, it is capable of damaging skin (and eyes), but it is marked as an irritant rather than a dire caustic. It washes off the skin easily (don't use soap), and can be neutralized effectively with vinegar. Often times in German speaking lands, TSP is sold as Lauge (as misleading as this is). Relatively cheap and easy to find a a do-it-yourself hardware store. Another tip is that you can buy Zippo Premium Lighter Fluid for your NPS. Works great, and it evaps much faster than some of the somewhat viable lanter fluids you find in Europe. The lantern fluids do tend to evap cleanly, but they take 2-5x as long, and are noticeably thicker. Zippo comes in a few sizes. The typical kiosk or tobacco shop will always have 125ml bottles, but for a tiny bit more you can get 355ml. Bigger bottles are very hard to find. I would guess that Zippo is cheaper than wundbenzin... but I can not say for sure. Good luck my friend. "Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice
