Pipes For Hyperspace? Options

I'm basically a neophyte in the DMT realm. What sort of pipes are ideal for this?
I've read through conversations that glass needs to not be too thick to
melt the spice. But then again, I've seen people use regular pipes and smoke
it like grass. Is it something I have to specifically order online or is it
common product among herb shops? And any other helpful tips are well
appreciated.

EDIT:
For example, I saw this portable vaporizer in one of the shops.
This something I should be looking for?

I would get a small water bubbler/bong and decent mesh screens and learn how to either make changa, sandiwch the DMT in some leaf or make some adaption of "the machine" to fit the bowl. IME it works much much better than those vaporizers you heat from below. The only vaporizer that others claim works well is the VG.
Long live the unwoke.

Yeah I do not a reccommend the Essentail Vape. That's what I got at first before getting the GVG and I must say that thing is garbage. It's real easy to burn the spice using that thing. I mean it could have potential but you would really have to work with it to get the technique down. IME it wasn't worth it.

As you may have noticed many people here are rather crazy about the Glass Vapor Genie, I think there is good reason for this as well, it’s easy to use, minimal irritation, efficient vaporisation and simple to clean it well enough that it looks and smells as good as new.

Saying all that it is an expensive item (worth it, but by my standards expensive), I’ve managed years using home made and bought glass water pipes as well as a small soap stone pipe. These have given very good results considering the cost (zero for the homemade near 2-decades old water pipe!). Takes a bit of practice to vape reliably with a normal pipe (not so much of an issue with changa), but it is possible to work with them.

It's not the pipe as much as yourself.

There's a lot of rage on the VG, but at the end of the day it's a pipe. I find the breathing technique on a bong much easier with DMT. With a pipe I feel like I'm inhaling forever then I get exhausted. With a bong it's a quick sip to the abyss Smile

My best experiences were with a small glass chamber bong.

One of our local glassblowers has taken to creating hand crafted customized spicecrafts.

Your local glassblowers would most likely be very happy to do the same. Very happy

Do you mean alter the pipes structure? I think the spice would work fine without resorting to changa.
I just need to find a way, like you said, to sandwich the spice into some leaf.

I ended up getting a pipe similar to this. It's a water pipe, but it's much smaller than this and it's not vertical, it's horizontal.

Are screens normally used when smoking spice? I think my problem with this
was that the contents of the bowl slowly fell through the chamber and wasted valuable
product. I'm somewhat embarrassed at how amateur I must sound, just never have been
auspicious towards smoking.

If you are going to smoke crystals a medium will be needed to hold them as they melt. Most commonly used are a bed or sandwich of herbs or ash. If you were very careful I guess you could also use a plug made out of wire scrubber mesh ion there too.
