Herbal blends - what is the truth? Options

Hi there!
I was wandering what is the truth behind changa blends? I doubt that the Dream Herb is attributing to the experience at all. So I wonder which plants do what? What have you tried and noticed considerable or mellow enhancement in Changa? Taste is an important factor but I'm interested in psychological effects. I would certainly divide the "herbal blends" list into two categories - those that don't change the experience at all and those that significantly change it.

Calea and passionflower are the most intriguing plants. The first is psychoactive but normally it doesn't change too much in normal quantities. The second is well... very weak so does passionflower really enhance the changa? Does damiana smooths only the smoke or is the psychedelic experience smoother as well?

How strong are those effects? Can it be only the placebo?

When you use Ayahuasca vine or leaf in Changa it activates the potential of any herbs that you use with it. See my post "Changa: Smoking Ayahuasca with other herbs"
