Let me guess, seeing as how you offered no links, it's on RS?

Am I the only one who gags at both these guys? Don't know what it is, Daniel more so than Rogan. He just rubs me the wrong way...

I personally never really connected much with either daniel pinchback nor rogan (didnt feel like there was something new about what they said), so I never felt like insisting on listening/reading anything they have to say, but why do you say they are stupid? Sounds like a very strong judgement to me, do you know them, or what do you base your opinion on?

at least Pinchbeck got off his ass to do something and helped create reality sandwich. Amongst the crap posted there they also do alot of good informing people of environmental issues and holding talks all over etc through revolver. People love to bash pinchbeck based on a few things he says or books he writes but never take into account the fact that he at least went out and tried to make a difference instead of talking and doing nothing. How many of us can really say the same?

people should be judged on actions and not personal ideas they believe or dont believe.
Long live the unwoke.

I'm sure some of us can say the same, without overpriced ayahuasca adventures and a website full of new age bs to support his own far out theories.

You honestly think this guy is doing good for the community by spreading this crap?

Guess I just don't buy it.

He banks off of 2012 conferences. IMHO, that's not really notable action. Add a little bit of environmental issues and viola, you get Win.

Not a difficult judgment to make after hearing someone speak on a topic for 20 minutes straight.

I just don't really see the point in wasting energy (or spouting negative energy) at these guys because of their views.. regardless of whether or not my ontology and ideas of the world align with them.. i think it seems pretty obvious they are sincerely trying to help wake up humanity and better themselves and this world before its too late-despite how i feel about the amount of immature "roganites" parading around with their dmt-pineal theories, and the bullshit people post on RS (there is SOME good stuff among the muck though). I have to give props to their effort. And joe rogans comedy isn't that bad anyway Razz

You're probably right here. I suppose it's not so much the views that bother me, just anyone trying to make a profit off of others' spirituality.

If I am wrong here then I sincerely apologize. However, I get emails often for what seem to be way overpriced ayahuasca trips and conferences - and that rubs me the wrong way.

Regardless, the negative energy is not helpful so I wish them the best in their endeavors.

I like Rogan he is passionate about what he does and has a genuine desire to be a good person and help others to develop themselves. He can say some crazy stuff but at least he is staying true to himself and what he believes.

Why stay true to a belief that is invalid? Just sayin'

90% of peoples beliefs are invalid. But if you fell its right should you not say it. I don't agree with a lot of his thoughts but I like how passionate he is about what he does and will stand up and say it. Can't ask anymore of someone IMO.

That's an interesting statistic. Do you have a source for that?

Who gives a crap. Its just two more dudes opinions. Watch it.. agree, disagree whatever. Use it as a launchpad for other ideas, write book... whatever.
Its all subjective opinion anyway.

Like any thing if one wants to find evidence to support what they are saying its easy to find material to make a strong case to support it. But that's just my belief which has a 90% chance of being wrong.

Yea...i never could get into either of them, rogan probably just for his style and presentation ( I think he presents as a bit of a dilettante) and pinchbeck...i dunno...reading portions of some of his books made me dislike/disagree with his attitude and methods. Antrocles wrote some pretty glowing stuff about him though, so maybe there's something more to him that doesn't come through in his writing/public persona.

This was my reaction. Was Antrocles post on the Nexus? If so, do you know where? I value his opinion and would love to be incorrect in my view of Pinchbeck.

I'm more than happy to be wrong about something - but can't get past the persona I've interpreted (arrogant and anything but humble about his ideas)...
