so feel free to use this thread to share your favorite festivals (electronic or otherwise) that you plan to attend, or give full thumbs up from past experiences. this way some of us may cross paths on the dancefloor this summer. my favorite from last summer was ozora in hungary, and this summer tech safari will not be putting on Eclipse festival in quebec , but there are several others listed that look lush. this one seems quite promising: http://www.goatrance.de/...base/party/details/59175cheers

Gathering of the vibes is usually a good time. http://www.gatheringofthevibes.com/HomeIf your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

going to wakarusa this summer, gonna be excellent. Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Ott, oh man... www.wakarusa.com"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. It goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride." - Bill Hicks

I'll definitely be attending Shpongle in NYC next weekend, as well as: Evolvefestand possibly: Electric Forest FestivalMy mind craves nectar day and night. Like a blue lotus floating on the sea of love. Lingering in ashantic realms Lingering in the akashic realms Lingering in, lingering in the realms. Blue lotus floats, floating, floating.. Some laugh, some weep, some dance for joy. My mind craves nectar day and night.

Ekstasis wrote:Thanks Red Eclipse, looks like I may have to check out Starscape. Defiantly not your usual psy festival, more on the ragefest side (2PM-6AM the following day). A must if you like live electronic music though, as you can tell by the lineup. Dancing away all your bad energy throughout the night, sure to be a blast.

That looks like a good festival. I've seen Laughing Buddha and Eat Static a few times and they are amazing live. Might have to round up some people for that one. I have my ticket for Glade Festival. Anyone going? Will probably go to the Alchemy Records 3 day thing in August too.

I plan to go to a couple of "underground" ones here in the States that I don't want to post in such a public place, but I could refer people by PM. I find the bigger ones - Gathering of the Vibes, Bonnaroo, AllGood, National Rainbow gathering, etc. - tend to bring in a sort of "shady" element, such as the "Nitrous Mafia", and also bring people who are there for essentially a three/four day alcohol/other drug binge. A festival to me is a conscious/intentful gathering of like-minded folks - a Temporary Autonomous Zone in which the normal rules of society are temporarily suspended to allow something "special" or "magical" to happen. Connections are made, ideas are exchanged, the music ebbs and flows. LIFE is experienced in all its beauty and fullness...enjoy and be safe... I will be at Burningman Aug 29 through Sept 5. If you are in the PNW then the Photosynthesis Festival is a great time, July 22-25, 2011. The web site will be updated as it gets closer to the date. This is an awesome festival and a great venue. Ice House is an alter ego. The threads, postings, replys, statements, stories, and private messages made by Ice House are 100% unadulterated Bull Shit. If so I've heard very good things about it. Likewise, if I get a ticket I'll let you know. Also going to this: http://www.standon-calling.com/I realise it isn't a psy fest, but I went last year and it was a lot of fun. Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.
