MOST EYE-OPENING, EUPHORIC, INCREDIBLE LSD EXPERIENCE Options

Was it LSD?

SWIM tried LSD a total of maybe 30 times in the last two years and has never had such a powerful experience. Almost every time it would be empty blotter, very weak, or an obvious RC.

Characteristic effects:

It is as if he experienced LSD for the first time: metallic taste, dilated pupils, music, color, and taste enhancement, 8hrs, positive change in body image, and everything perfectly fitting the effects of LSD, including the visual effects. SWIM is still in disbelief that he has found LSD in the US, but there's nothing to indicate otherwise.

Preparation:

set: SWIM had no obligations, worries, depression, or trauma

setting: SWIM had the perfect setting, comfortable, warm, open, and in the company of a trusted friend

Lessons:

1. SWIM is capable of anything; attitude is everything.
2. Having love for oneself is the first step in giving love to others.
3. Colors are so beautiful. To think he could spend a single day without being in awe of the beauty that is color is mind-boggeling.
4. Set and Setting are infinitely important. SWIM had experienced mushrooms, mescaline, pharmahuasca, salvia and has never had such a positive experience before this LSD.
5. In order to maximize the long term benefits of the psychedelic experience, one foot should be grounded in reality. When SWIM has a problem in his life, it is always brought under attention and scrutiny under the use of psychedelics. In order to induce such states of utter bliss, one cannot live in a piss-stained trailer and be unemployed.
6. Life is too short for insecurities.

Difficulty incorporating lessons into reality:

Now, two days after the experience, SWIM is overwhelmed.

Since the experience, every action induces a unusual sense of bliss: showering, eating, listening to music, talking. During his experience, he was so happy, clever, jovial, full of energy, love, and life, so aware of the precioussness and beauty of life and existence. There was hardly a minute in those 8hrs when SWIM did not have a smile on his face. He was so sad to leave the space; he wanted it to last forever.

Right now, he wants to do everything: learn to paint, play musical instruments, meditate, cook, understand physics, and spread his love. It is overwhelming. He has never felt like this in his life, and is very afraid that the mindset may one day dissipate. And on top of that, the urge to use any drugs besides psychedelics is gone. AND, tripping every day is also unappealing; having time to incorporate these lessons into reality seems prudent.

Now, off to buy a flute. Raja Ram simply blew my mind.

LSD does not have a metallic taste, but it looks like whatever RC that was has benefited you. Keep up the mindset!

Really? In LSD, My Problem Child, Hoffman describes a metallic taste.

Quote:
Beginning of the effect already after about 30 minutes with strong inner agitation, trembling hands, skin chills, taste of metal on the palate.

I can often times get the metallic taste, but it's more of a hallucination than tasting the LSD itself. In other words it only kicks in once I start tripping, but it's clearly there.

Yes, LSD does not have a metallic taste per se, but it could have been just the way you chose to describe it whereas others would choose different wordings, I like to save "metallic" for the 2Cs; LSD does however have kind of a buzzing taste-feel to it. But congrats on finding it! I can assure you that it is very possible to find LSD in the US still.

However you choose to label the taste, I do not like it. For a while I thought maybe this is what it's like to actually taste the inside of my mouth, but I then dismissed it for a hallucination

Well I was replying to lorentz5, and referring to the taste of the blotter, not perceived sensory changes. I wouldn't call that hallucinatory taste metallic either, but I agree that it's not very pleasant.

Agreed here. SWIM chooses to describe it as more of a feeling rather than a taste, almost electric.

It tastes like a carnival in my mouth, but in a dirty, unwanted way Laughing

It could have potentially been whatever medium was used to transport the LSD. If it were blotter, the ink could have been the culprit.

Quite often I get this 'metallic' feeling in my mouth, buzzy weirdness around my teeth.

And from what I have heard, LSD isn't entirely tasteless, just when its in 100-1000ug area. FOAF says pure crystal LSD has a distinct taste.

You say that because you've likely never had a real strong dose (300 mgs) of LSD in you life. It most certainly has a metallic taste! Smile

It is still around you just have to be in the right circle. As long as there is a demand there will be some chemist willing to make sure there is a supple. Smile
If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

Despite popular consensus, it does appear that LSD does have some kind of taste. Shulgin himself said the taste of LSD is "slightly bitter" (PIHKAL, p. 26), and I kinda this guy. I'm not sure how much one needs to notice this.

I suspect as already been mentioned that a lot of the bitterness can often be explained by the inks used in blotter paper, or the solvent use to transport the LSD in if is liquid.

Whatever the case, I consistently get this coppery, metallic taste when actually on LSD...not particularly nice, but not a big deal either...kind of an 'electric' flavour.
