SWIM put 10Tbs of the shredded bark in about 250ml of 4.5% rice vinegar and 500ml of near boiling water. Then SWIM proceeded to simmer the mixture, topping off the water to avoid any burning, for three hours. SWIM then filtered out the liquid and will do another 3 hour simmer with fresh water tomorrow. The two batches will then be added together and reduced to around 300ml. SWIM plans to ingest 100ml of this brew every 45 minutes until effects, if any, are achieved. If this brew in unsuccessful, SWIM will wait until his Syrian Rue seeds arrive to do further tests.

What happened? I think for mimosa without an MAOI you cant boil it because it destroys the MAOI in the MHRB. Maybe this is the same deal.
