Over this week i've been playing around with my first few recrystallizations & thought i would share the pictures today, nothing that special by what i've seen posted round here previously, but still managed to grow some very clear crystals & also some nice big crystals, i'll try to describe as best what i did when making them...

This was an eyeballed amount of DMT (approx 1g) dissolved in room temp naphtha until it was totally saturated, then placed in the snow for 24 hours:
Pointy star shaped crystals, liked the look of em alot

These next crystals were grown at room temp in covered petri dishes (no evap)
Just over 1g scraped DMT (some yellow bits) was placed into room temp Naphtha (40ml) some DMT did not dissolve so the Naphtha was heated & swirled until the DMT dissolved, when dissolving the DMT i think i heated the Naphtha too much to allow the yellow/goo to stick to the bottom, before pouring off into the petri dish, so i then got some yellow goo on the petri dish when the DMT crystals crashed out at room temp. To make sure leave goo behind & get only white/clear crystals i find its always best to add warm (not hot) naphtha to the DMT bit by bit, gently heat & swirl, eventually yellow stuff stays stuck to the bottom. These turned out to be my biggest crystals so far:

This was fine white powder from a freeze precip, re-X'd, then scraped, redissolved & freeze preciped again... i was suprised at how the shards stayed clear after the freeze precip as i hadn't encountered clear crystals from freeze precip until then, and haven't since.

Last but not least, some of you may have seen em before & i'm trying to repeat these crystals again as they look perfect for dosing, no joy as of yet but im sure ill figure it out eventually, what i remembered that i did to make these was to add about 1g of DMT to 50-70ml warm Naphtha, it was slightly over saturated from what i remember as some DMT didn't dissolve, i poured it off into petri dish & left it covered overnight (no evap) and in the morning these were waiting...

Now its time for some only fools & some lovely green Very happy

Merry Xtalmas!!!

It's very fun but i seem to be losing yield when im reXing like this, maybe i'm not as rather than lots of light soft powder i now have dense shards of crystal, i'm still sure each time the Naphtha is holding back on me, sometimes i can smell the DMT in there but after 3 days in freezer it won't give it up... guess its evap time Pleased

These popped out of a minimal amount of warm/hot Naphtha added to about 1-2g DMT, it was covered & left at room temp, the crystals formed within minutes

Not sure why they aren't that big, i think as the Naphtha was so saturated they crashed out into small crystals very fast, whereas previously the naphtha was slightly less saturated so they crashed out slower over hours rather than minutes, i like them a lot... i haven't weighed one yet but they look like they could be the perfect size for dosing one crystal...
