I do and have for the last 3years, i´m not a body builder and do not lift for cosmetic reasons.
I wan´t to get strong and be able to challenge gravity as far as i possibly can...
The reason i´m posting this here is because ive noticed that days after i do any enhteogens like lsd or mushrooms i seem to be weaker than usual, but the day after aya or dmt/changa i actually feel stronger.
I don´t know why but i think it has something to do with the fact that dmt doesnt confuse my mind like other drugs do, usually after doing anything else i lose motivation to go to the gym for a few days after but with dmt i get pumped up and it lights a fire under my ass.

No weight lifting here, I really dont like the gym setting. In any case, im skinny but definitely interested in exercise in general. I do notice that the next day after most psychedelics indeed the energy and power is low and I dont feel like exercising, and I also agree that after ayahuasca/dmt I feel the same or even stronger/more willing to exercise (considering I had a decent sleep, of course).
Would be interesting to hear if others also feel the same.

DMT/ayahuasca definately leaves me more mentally and physically able... also with a much higher sex drive like I'm just that much more alive in general. I've never experienced such a crash with mushrooms but definately with LSD and mescaline.
That said though, Mescaline is awesome to exercise on, not just because of the energy but with repetetive movement I often find tedious on mescaline it just feels sooo great to get your body working.

Yeah thats different, I think a lot of psychedelics can give one energy during the experience. Doing stuff on LSD is great too, like hiking, exploring, different sports, etc... At least for me...

I just come out of the trip valuing everything more, and wanting to be as wholesome as possible, wanting to be nicer to family and and eat better, but also exercise more , its really concrete urge to . and so i have started , not with weights though.

Agree on the gym atmosphere, hate seing all these douchebags posing in the mirrors flexing their biceps and shit...
It´s preety pathetic that most poeple in gyms train to look strong but their workouts doesnt help them in daily chours like picking heavy stuff up from the ground.
Agree that it´s great to do stuff on lsd, i would like to try doing martial arts on a small dose of acid.

Sometimes during a pharma experience (those moments when I don't feel sleepy as can be) I will be so energized and what not and have the urge to start doing push ups or testing my body....I never do but it always seems like it should be a good idea at the time. My sense of rationale is always in tact in tough to tell me I might regret it in a few minutes though. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

I lift, but the erg (rowing machine) is my true love and carry-over from my crew days. If you want a workout that challenges body and mind, the erg is hard to beat and burns calories like nothing else while working practically every muscle. The mental challenge is really where its at, I've never encountered anything else as grueling on the mind as rowing for a couple hours or upwards of 14k in a session. At least for me... I have been working with body exercices and psychedelic (but no weight lifting as I find series boring and pointless-well beside fitness) and I'm on pair with the low LSD, mescaline, pharmahuasca and low iboga with Harmalas does feel fantastic for contemporary dance improvisiation, Pilates, Chi Kung and such much less testosteronic, sensitve body and energy work. In fact I often feel while journeying I should exercise more in many sport, like I don't use my general body enough, in muscles and movements. That's why I find more liberating this free movement and close to the body rythm exercice, than pure weight lifting which are more a limits pushing. LSD is great for outdoor sport if the dose is kept low. Low like your friends don't find you out much (you may still be sure everyone notice and don't say anything but it's not). Unfortunately it doesn't work every week. So I just do it every now and then. I just feel my visualisation of energy flowing is greatly enhanced thus my concentration and the way I'm into my exercice, improvisation and intiuition is top. Smell like tea n,n spirit !

I've lifted 5 days a week for the past 5 years.... mainly low repititions and only a few sets per exercise but heavy weight. I also run 2 miles a day twice a week. I do it for the mental challenge, the rewarding "rush" you get from complete strenuous activity...especially after a good jog around my area. I love lifting though; I actually thought about posting something like this quite some time ago but wasn't sure how many people here were into lifting. It's an art to me...perfecting the body and muscles just enough to where you can be "just" at that right level of weight for your heighth with the added speed and strength to match ..and not look like a refrigirator box lol. To go back to that same heavy weight that you were struggling with in the beginning of the month and nearing the end of the month your shuttling it to the sky..and then realizing "wow..i've improved and gotten stronger"....it's a very rewarding feeling to me. All in all though...it's an art to me. I dont do it to be "this or that" or prove to anyone anything. Just something i've always been completely articulate with and extremely passionate about. I'll usually get back into lifting the day after any psychedelic experience..lsd, mushrooms, mescaline, dmt...doesnt really matter to me or affect me in any way too too much. I actually love going to my basement the day after a good mushroom experience. With the addition of music to my routine..it kind of facilitates a nostalgic sense of amazement and love similar to the comedown on a good mushroom trip.

I like the gym for this reason only - I've been kicked out of a gym just for drinking beer and poking fun to the posers. Gladly I didn't get beaten up. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? A gym is pretty much the best way to get in shape. You can do pretty well with some free weights and body-weight exercises, but it's really best to incorporate squats, dead lifts, and other exercises that you likely don't have room for in your home. Avoiding fitness because of a few bros is no way to do it

I can definitely push harder at whatever exercise im doing in the days after DMT
