Ever since my very first time smoking DMT I had this strong feeling instantly, hilariously ironic. Before something happens, anything happens, I know it before, and it happened, because it was SUPPOSED to, so its HAPPENING. I don't know how to explain it, but it REALLY resonates with me, The hidden irony behind life, is just there. Deja vu? coincidence? The pure irony of me writing this post warms me deeply, someone knows. Anyone? Expect nothing, Receive everything. Not exactly sure what you are trying to say, but I agree the universe is certainly some shit.

There's just your capacity to be whatever you want to be. DMt seems to teach alot about that elusive illusion

Anyone? Entities certainly enjoy disconcerting you, is that what your mean? To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour. - William Blake

Yes, the utter absurdity of existence, the eternal deja-vu, extreme irony, being flooded in awe! I think its an experience that changes one forever. But now its up to you to try to integrate it in a way that connects you even more with 'this' reality and making the best out of day-to-day living, instead of ending up more distant. All the best

I sounded confused in my post, but I am really just in awe, The irony just led me to bliss. I was able to realize how much more there really is. I believe this irony is my perception of the way forward. It shows me that everything that happens is related in a sense that it is ironic. the infinite irony of an infinite universe Expect nothing, Receive everything. I can definitely feel where your coming from. Before I ever did dmt I already had seen much of the irony in this world and life itself.....those moments where you just burst out laughing inside. BUT after smoking dmt and going through an experience of that magnitude.................IT MAKES IT EVEN MOREEE LAUGHABLE! What I tend to take away from that is the idea of living everyday like it's the last....lifes too short to be upset and worry. I mean...everyone worries and has such feelings arise but being able to catch yourself in the midst of such feelings/emotions and look at things for what they realllly are and not worry tooooo much into them......it just makes life thattt much easierrr.

I know the kind of irony that your talking about. i first experinced it when i entered a 40x salvia trip way to fast to handle and shouted out "aaaahahahahaha, is it that simple? its SO IRONIC!" oh no, no battery left, and the power has gone out from lightening aaaaah!!! i gotta go comp it about to die Sir Terrence McKenna: "and what is real: is you, and your friends, and your associations, your highs, your orgasms your hopes your plans your fears... and were told. no. we're unimportant, we're peripherial. get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that. and then your a player, (but) you dont even want to play that game? (well) you want to re-claim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers: who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash thats being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. ¿where is that at?"
"But now technology throws a curve. and the curve is that we live so long, that we figure out what a scam this is. we figure out that what your supposed to work for isn't worth having, we figure out that our politicians are buffoons, we figure out that professional scientists are reputation building gravitating weasels. we discover that all organizations are corrupted by ambition. we figure. it. out... and as you come to see that you are alienated you realise that culture is not your friend."

It could be that the DMT helped your mind make connections more easily so that when an event happens to play out just right, the connection that you already made is there to scream out, "hey, remember me?!?" I also remember hearing this neuroresearcher talking once about his theory on deja vu (or at least certain cases of deja vu) and that's that during the day there are sometimes almost like skips in the thought process that leave these blank sort of slates of memory and every now and then, an event will happen and will simultaneously fill in that blank memory spot, making it seem like you're remembering something, but it really only just happened. Also, I know this isn't really what you're talking about, but a lot of times when I'm dreaming, I have a remarkable foresight, mainly because I think what's happening is I think of something and then it's instantly translated into action in the dream. Many times it'll be like I'll think, "man I hope x, y, and z don't happen" and surely enough every time I turn around: x, y and z are lookin me in the face. Can't begin to explain how many times that's happened. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead
"Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids" - 9th century Arab proverb

Hehe, I totally agree with what you're saying. One of the main ideas I've got from my experiences with DMT is that we are mostly a joke the Universe played upon itself. Our reality is a farce. A beautiful, twisted, crazily complex farce. "The joy of life consists in the exercise of one's energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal." - Aleister Crowley
Dark Matter is merely a byproduct of the Mind's imagination. Everything written on this board in his name is pure fiction. He is nothing more than an Illusion. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

Word I hope you're not doing an Alanis Morissette and mistaking coincidence and misfortune and bad timing for irony She wrote an entire song listing events that were allegedly "ironic", but in actuality only a couple of them, and that's being generous, were actually ironic. Check out some of them: "It's a black fly in your Chardonnay" "It's like rain on your wedding day It's a free ride when you've already paid It's the good advice that you just didn't take" "A traffic jam when you're already late A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break" NO IRONY WHATSOEVER. The only irony is that there is no irony in a song about irony. I only mention this because "hoping" x,y & Z don't happen and then having them happen might be negative serendipity, or misfortune, or dark synchronicity if you like, but 'taint ironic. Feel free to disregard or ignore this post entirely . It's a silly pet peeve of mine, and is exacerbated by the french propensity for using the word "irony" as a quidproquo replacement for the word "sarcasm" - since I work in french and my GF is french, my tongue has holes in it from biting it all day long. So you semi-anonymous people are feeling the raw wind of my pent-up "irony" wrath. How ironic. JBArk the silly old stickler (well not so old, ironically) PS now that my rant is over, I can address the OP's question: the universe is indeed IRONIC!! JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

I know where your coming from jbark You can take any patterns, coincidences, irony's, deja vu you see in everyday life and if you start connecting them together, and start looking for these patterns you will find them everywhere. If your mind becomes obsessed, it will filter everything else out and find the patterns everywhere. If your brain needs an answer it will simply make one up. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, its ironic that I said that Expect nothing, Receive everything. I'm not joking when I say I think I understand you completely. After these experiences everything seems to be flowing together, a sense of destiny and irony, and everything seems to mirror what I think. I literaly create this world around me in my mind, as it creates me. I could go into deep detail here, but I'll just say, a lot of unbeleivable coincedences have been happening, as I knew they would, and yes, in writing this, I create yet another irony. Like walking inside a sphere... I'm about to wax abstract up in here... Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

Ahh yes, I've had many occasions when I've thought "Wait a minute, there is something rather than nothing" and then that omniversal-irony comes. The mushroom makes me laugh at the absurdity of everything, I was in a very serious conversation with myself about what we should be doing with time, I then looked at a bottle of mineral water they named "Buxton" and I said it aloud, then proceeding to burst into that natural laughter, straight from the soul; something along the lines of Huxley's "What pretensions!" Turning the most serious of all philosophical matters into a laughing fit... can't beat it. Your depth is your integrity

However having said that, the "x, y, z" example I offered pertains to my dream experiences if you notice. I have no doubt that in the dream context, it is in no way coincidental, and completely a product of my mind having realized a potential outcome and then displaying it.
