So recently I gifted a friend some changa. He and a friend wanted to listen to some music while they smoked it but do to technical difficulties with his stereo he had to do it in his car in front of his house.

Someone saw them smoking it out of a weed pipe and called the cops thinking they were smoking MJ. While they were still smoking a cop rolled up and had them step out the car.

The cop asked what they were smoking cause clearly it didn't smell anything like weed in the car. My friend surrendered the pipe and jar of changa saying it was salvia. The cop said he didn't know what that was and called another officer.

2 more police cars rolled up. 1 of these officers knew what salvia was and beleived that it was salvia. They let them both go and gave him back his changa pipe and changa. Lol

if I ever gift changa to someone I tell them that if you ever get caught with it say its salvia 20x or 40x. I even will write salvia on the container. This worked for my friend last nite. It could work for you too.

Where I live you can buy salvia in smoke shops. I know this isn't so everywhere. But I still think salvia is better than dmt posession no matter where you are.

Be safe friends

I think maybe an even better idea would be to tell them not to smoke it out in front of their house...or in a car!!!
Or anywhere that cops are able to roll up on them for that matter....

Very true.

Still 3 cops didn't realize they had a schedule 1 drug in their hands lol

The point is if you get caught with changa this may work for you. Unless you only smoke it where you make it there's a time when you could get caught with it on you.

You shouldnt ever have to get into this situation in the first place.

I dont find it very 'lol'ish to be honest, I worry of reckless people smoking in a car or in the plain sight of other people, doing something stupid, police coming and this eventually really screwing not only these people but our whole community. Maybe they were lucky this time but who knows if they will be again.

The only reason why police came was because they were reckless to begin with and not smoking in a private or really deserted place (Duhhh!! ), so saying that people not smoking in the place where they extract are at risk is actually missing the point of why this whole story is problematic to begin with.

No offense to you, but I have to put this message very explicit: come on people, please think of the possible consequences of your actions!

The point is its illegal. In your house. On you when you go to a secluded place or friends house. Its an illegal item on you. Anything can happen and you can get caught with it. Wich is the point of what I'm saying.

I don't care how safe you are. You can get caught. But hey just miss the point of the post and tell the cops it contains dmt and to take you to jail.

If you don't do things that obviously draw the cops attention, you don't have to tell them anything...that's the point.

People don't call the cops on you because you have DMT in your pocket that they don't know about.
It's when you sit in a car, in a driveway (I'm assuming late at night)...listening to music...smoking something out of a pipe....and then probably being noisy & crazy & drawing attention to the fact that you are doing something illegal.
That's when the cops come...

Your pals got quite lucky, probably not the outcome that will happen for most people though.
DMT is not anything new...just it's current surge in popularity.
All a cop has to do is get online & do a tiny bit of searching for a few minutes & they'll find more than enough info & pics of DMT & changa to identify it.

And you can bet plenty have already!
There have been more publicized busts for DMT & DMT containing plants in the past year, than there was in the 5 previous years!!
So don't expect all cops to be that stupid on a regular basis.
Like you said, BE SAFE!

Thanks for the tip, hyperspacing.
I think it's very prudent to be as covert as possible because as much as we'd all like to be in control of every situation, it is never possible because the unexpected is literally around every corner.

As WSaged and endlessness pointed out, smoking from a pipe while parked on a public/residential road is just not a good idea.
That said, please consider the following situation;

A friend of mine told me this true story about a friend of theirs that got caught with a lab for making illicit materials.
How it happened was that one day, the owner of the house (and lab therein) and one of their friends were going to leave the house.
As they were backing out of the driveway, a speeding vehicle came over the hill and rear ended them.
They were momentarily knocked unconscious from the impact.
When they came to, the cops were there.
Being very dazed and not at all with their wits or basic common sense about them, they let the cops take them back inside the house.
The cops, being cops, surveyed the interior of the house and quickly came across some lab stuff, out in the open.

It is to avoid circumstances like these that I have decided against purchasing a separator funnel or other such devices.
Even having ph papers makes me a bit nervous.

Please do be careful, everyone.
Clean up everything and put it away when you're done using it.
These aren't the droids you're looking for.

You may not care how safe I am, but I care how safe you (or your friends) are, because it can affect our whole community!

and if youre smoking dmt in a public place in a car at plain sight from neighbours, and you dont realize just how much more unsafe you're making the whole situation, I get very bothered.

Of course anybody that ever got in contact with an illegal item has went through at least some risk no matter how safe, but there is a gigantic difference between just keeping low key about it and avoiding unnecessary risks, and on the other side, smoking it out of a pipe in a car in a public place Confused

We all got the intended point, that you can pretend changa is something else and that crystals/powders are more suspicious, did anybody not think of this yet? But thats clearly not what calls my attention in this story, and I think if you realize just how much we are for responsible use of substances in the Nexus, you'll know where Im coming from. Would be weird if you expected something else from us.

Ill be sure to tell my friend how upset with him you are Wink

I'm just glad hes not in jail. Whether he had a lapse in judgment or not he's still a good guy. Perhaps maybe 1 day he can be a perfect human being that doesn't make mistakes.

Why are you so defensive about it and answering with sarcasm?

I dont mean to offend, its a constructive criticism, I never said he's a bad guy or that he should be a perfect human being, I just dont think its good that people are smoking dmt in a car in public. Is it really so absurd for me to think so and express it?

Step forward into your cave. That's right. You're going deeper into your cave. And you're going to find, your power animal...

Imagine your pain as a white ball of healing light. It moves over your body, healing you. Now keep this going, remember to breathe, and step forward through the backdoor of the room. Where does it lead?

Not at all, your preaching to the choir. I'm sure after a close call like that he won't be taking any dumb chances. Just trying to emphasize the positive part of his story. Caught with changa? Call it salvia. Very happy

You story is: "Caught with changa? Call it salvia"

We read: Some people were doing something REALLY stupid and people like that can endanger the availability of our beloved molecule in the future.

The fact that you had your own idea of your story and keep pointing at it ("call it salvia"Pleased instead of acknowledging the real problem behind it might be what keeps these people being bothered. They are afraid that you don't really understand how important this community is to them, the risks in your initial post are just too large to not be bothered by it.

And once you finally made a post where you state you understand it you put a smiley behind it making it sound sarcastic.

So yes, we know now that changa is something that can be called something else to stay out of trouble, now please tell us in return that you actually understood that the real deal here is that you should avoid this kind of situations in the first place.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Lol really. . . "I" would never end up in that same situation. Just as I agreed with wsaged in the 3rd post. . . Why am I being persecuted like I did this? Just relaying a story. Jesus christ.

Maybe it is because you were the one who 'gifted' the changa?

If it were me, and someone I had given changa to had been this stupid, I would be mortified. I would feel responsible for having given it to someone who didn't know what they were doing.

And who would ever want to smoke DMT in a parked car anyway?!!!

...some people here grow salvia..some of those people have lots of plants and would much appreciate AS LITTLE exposure of this kind as possible so that they can continue growing it in peace..legally.
