What's the difference between these MP3 and FLAC files? I'm not sure what FLAC is.

Does it determine what kind of players I can play this in?Wut? This is not a very computer/music-savvy person here. Rolling eyes

Is there some difference between the torrent and the rar package?

The torrent requires a torrent program to download, the rar will download normally and then require an unzip. FLAC is of a better audio quality than MP3... although not every media player handles FLAC. I don't think Windows Media Player does, but if I recall correctly both WinAmp and (definitely) VLC play FLAC files.

FLAC is a lossless audio enconding format, so it might be a bit better quality than MP3, but the MP3 is also maximum VBR quality, so either one is good.

Yes, FLAC might require additional plugins, so if you're unsure, go with the MP3.

Content-vice, no. The download speed might be faster with the torrent.

edit: ah, bananaforeskin already answered those, didn't notice.

Ole hyvä musiikista. Suomalaisia täälläkin, taas. Huimaa.

Oh okay. So I can do the FLAC cause I've got WinAmp, and I've also got Foobar2000 if that's any good.

What is VLC?

Oookay, so I'm gonna download both for the sake of learning. Don't know what VBR is, but I'll take your word for it.

I am definitely unsure, but I'm gonna go with both, because I looove high quality music.

Oh okay, that's what I was wondering, if there was anything different content-wise.

I already got the Rar with MP3 quality, so I'm gonna do the FLAC now...see what I can do with that.

I listened to a few minutes of the first song already...and I like it! Smile

Hmmm, I couldn't seem to 'extract to' my music file, for the FLAC. It gave me this when I tried:

"Cannot open C:/..blah blah blah.."
"The system cannot find the file specified."
"C:/..blah.. .rar: No files to extract"

Oh well, I'm not worried about. I've got high definition ears anyway. Wink

Weird. Haven't heard of any similar problems... What about the torrent then?

Uhmm, I don't remember.

But the mp3 is good enough for me. Wink

Thanks for the music drop Aukikco.
