Can't one use B. caapi leaves when brewing Ayahuasca? Why do people always use the vine. Don't the leaves have similar alkaloid content?

The leaves only contain harmine, none or incredibly small trace amounts of harmaline and THH. The leaves have been tested to contain 0.25-1.90% harmine, usually less than 0.6%. As such it will work to brew Ayahuasca, but will give a different effect due to the absence of harmaline and THH. It may be interesting to try! Report back if you decide to do so. Smile

I'm mostly thinking about the taste, 'cause I'm allergic to the taste of the vine Razz hehe
But maybe a brew from leaves tastes just as bad or worse.
