well, SWIM told me this " I had my first negative (sort of) experience the other night with some Changa. I had had a fairly bad day, which ended in a fight with the GF , I was angry and disappointed and thought maybe I could find some answers in the spirit realm.

My GF was gone for the night and so I went to the bedroom, which was honestly a mess, I always read about taking the time to clean and organize your space ,well in my current state i thought " yada yada yada..." and I have read here about going in with a clear head free of worries, "yada yada yada...."

I guess after nothing but overall positive experiences, I thought I could handle myself fairly well , so load up the bong and plop on the unmade bed , did a quick 3 min meditation to slow my heart rate and then I hit 2 good times, the smoke was thick, I really hit it.

Immediately it was very aggressive , swirling colors and for the first time it became various scenes of life , which were playing out in my mind, at a very high speed these visions of myself interacting with old girlfriends and friends, and various other scenarios that I cant even re-call. At one point the visions took on an erotic nature. Now , this sounds kinda cool, but it wasnt.

Now while the visions became so colorful and swirling and would speed by quickly , before each vision changed, a little hand would come out and flicker at me, almost like a tease , like giving me a raspberry. just one hand, off the edge of each scene. would flicker as the scene changed, it definitely felt like i was being teased.

I tried to steer the vision and that's when it became scary, it became very violent and overall everything was a reddish tint , the visions all morphing into one another I found myself spiraling downwards...and then BAM!!!!

a Huge bang in my head, like someone slammed a door very hard right in my face! It was a Huge crash in my mind that I opened my eyes immediately, and I know the sound was only in my head , as my dogs were all around me and were sleeping still. It was earth shaking this crash , really stunned me, I was like "WTF was that!!!!"

so I closed my eyes again to get back into my trance, but it was gone, all of it, not even a sparkle of my trip remained, it was actually like someone just turned off the switch. How is that even possible?, a moment earlier I was lost in colors and spinning visions, and then GONE with a huge Brain Bomb BANG. completely gone, no afterglow, no good feelings , just Gone.

It shook me , because that was a scary way to end a fairly unpleasant trip.

Lesson learned: Dont try to journey when your current head space is clouded with anger and spite, it doesn't mix well with spice or a bit of AYA for that matter.

A powerful reminder of respect required. I always clean my house, take a bath, do some yoga, eat well, make sure the entire day is perfect, really, before embarking...

So wild when you hear unmistakable inner noises. Shocked

That's strange... I always have a messy room and am a dirty hippie. I eat well and exercise though. I've had.... difficult trips, but nothing bad.
Different strokes I guess.

I'm sure I could have been more respectful about my preperations and state of mind , your right, but I do respect it M , I usually do spend the better part of a day or more preparing, but not this time, and it was my least favorite journey to date.

I did learn from it , the lessons were there and I get it.

But I never had a trip end so abruptly, and with such a noise. This strangeness was unexpected.

I guess my heading title was reflective on what I felt at the time, but either way you say it, the message was clear that I need to be in the right frame of mind and not wrapped up in some argument with my gf which today is not even an issue anymore. seems kinda stupid now.

anyway, next week , or next time if all works out, perhaps Ill have a better story to share.

Im still curious if anyone has ever had their journey ended with a large noise, or even end abruptly as I mentioned, it was so weird.

I’ve never had a journey end abruptly with a loud noise, but here’s what happened to me once:

I began a journey and realized that it was going to be a sub-breakthrough. I was a bit disappointed by this, because I was fairly certain I had taken a breakthrough dose. Anyhow, the visuals were clearly sub-breakthrough. The experience seemed to be ending, and I was starting to return to baseline. Then all at once, I heard a loud “crack” – a rather high-pitched sound like the sound of a firecracker and of very short duration. And with that sound I was instantaneously transported into an incredibly intense breakthrough experience. The transition was beyond abrupt. The experience went like this: sub-breakthrough, slowly returning to baseline, “crack”, intense breakthrough.

I haven’t thought about that experience for a while, but it was very beautiful. It wasn’t spiritual or anything – it was more fun. Like a party. Like a party for me. The entities had the form of beautifully complex transparent red spheres, and I was floating among them. Fun!

Cleaning and the "yada yada" is to make you comfortable in you own space. It's more about the mindset. I could be in the messiest house ever and be fine with some good company.
I don't usually get loud bangs, but my hearing has increased to superhuman. Maybe you heard something amplified. I remember once the ticking watch in my room became unbearably loud. I usually can't hear it unless my ear it up to it.
I've also read of many 'indestuctable' users having a bad trip after many positive experiences. I had one particually bad one, but that was my mindset. It was just very intense and I was not in the right mood. If I had that same exact trip today, I would enjoy it.

Hmmm, Thats a Good point TLM, I once thought a single droning window fan would be comforting, it became so overbearing and obnoxious , I couldn't wait to turn it off once I had began the journey.

so, I guess it could have been something like that , and to be honest I would be relieved if it was.

However at the time it felt pretty much like an smack up-side the head by an all powerful force WHAM! ... it didnt seem like a random noise in my room. But I was pretty deep at the time , so , I cant say either way now Rolling eyes

Definitely food for thought on your mental state being part of the process, and knowing when to go.

Thanks Trust Love Man~

Haven't heard any loud noises but have had sudden loud noises in reality scare the hell out of me during a trip. even had a trip abruptly end because someone in the Apt. upstairs dropped something heavy.
The variability and spirit of DMT is what is the most unique about it, at least to me, of the psychedelics I have experienced.
I have felt welcomed, I have been let known when I have not come w/ the right respect or attitude and sometimes it is very visual and other times I have had little to no visuals but was able to lay on my back and it was like deep meditation and was able to feel and work w/ my energies and stated my intentions and dedicated myself to my purposes.
That and I seem to feel a call to hit it and used to let myself down and not do it out of fear. Lately I have answered the call and it is almost always extremely rewarding.

But all that aside; DMT seems to have a mind of it's own. You think you are going to get one thing or reaction and may have that same reaction many times in a row and then all of a sudden you get a totally different experience out of a dose or session that was in no way different than any of the previous ones other than the experience.

That reminds me of when I was on a DMT ride and the fan on my CPU started up. It was asleep ( the CPU ) and occasionally the fan would wake up and hum.

I was in the middle of this trip and this hum starts and builds itself up and I am starting to tense up thinking what in the hell is that?
This was one of my very first few attempts w/ DMT and was nervous and anxious as it was.
A Second or two later I figured out what the noise was and got a chuckle out of it and went back to the trip, but yes, small noises or almost any noises seem to be extremely noticeable.
That is why I often play soft, ambient music while I trip. It calms me going in and when you go deep enough the music turns into some other DMT music for a while.
That and 13th Floor Elevators version of Dylan's Baby Blue always gives me the most beautiful visions and feelings of soaring joy and flight.

Well, since I have had a few days to contemplate my experience , I can say it felt at the time like I was shown the door, it did indeed feel like I was Kicked out.

Not so good a feeling really, and since that night I am working on bettering myself and I believe I did learn from the lessons I received.

so, It is all Good after all, and not really a negative experience as I originally wrote in my post.

Changa is Medicine, even if my experience wasn't what I thought it would be , or even wanted, in the end it gave me what I needed.
